Introduction to Nebilyst 5mg Tablet

Nebilyst 5mg Tablet contains an active substance called Nebivolol. It is a cardiovascular medicine that belongs to the group of drugs called beta-blockers. It is used to treat high blood pressure and also to prevent increased heart rate and control heart pumping strength, which aids in lowering the blood pressure of the individuals. It is also used to treat mild to moderate chronic heart failure in patients who are 70 years and above, in addition to supplementary therapies.

It is recommended that you inform your doctor if you are allergic to Nebivolol or any of the ingredients in the medicine. Inform your doctor if you have low blood pressure, circulation problems, very slow heartbeat or arrhythmia, or a history of heart failure, asthma, or wheezing. Consult your doctor if you have a liver function disorder, metabolic disorder, or diabetic ketoacidosis. Speak with your doctor if you have chest pain or breathing problems, diabetes, kidney problems, hyperactive thyroid gland, psoriasis, and are going to have surgery. Your doctor may adjust the dose if you are an elderly kidney patient. The safety and effectiveness of the drugs have not been established in children and adolescents. Consult your doctor if you have a lactose intolerance because the medicine contains lactose as one of the ingredients. Consult your doctor if you are planning to get pregnant or think you may be pregnant or while you are breastfeeding.

Therapeutic Effects of Nebilyst 5mg Tablet

Nebilyst 5mg Tablet is a beta-1 adrenergic receptor blocker which reduces the vascular resistance, increases stroke volume and cardiac output of the individuals. Thereby, it helps to reduce the blood pressure and heart failure risk in patients.


Interaction of Nebilyst 5mg Tablet with other drugs

Inform your healthcare provider about all the medicines that you take, including prescription, over-the-counter, recent vaccinations, nutritional and vitamin supplements, and herbal products. Certain medications may interact with Nebilyst 5mg Tablet and reduce its effectiveness by causing undesirable side effects.
