Neptaz 100mg uses

• To reduce the risk of cardiovascular death and hospitalization in adults with heart failure.

Sacubitril is a prodrug metabolized to the active metabolite, which inhibits neprilysin, thereby increasing levels of peptides (such as natriuretic peptides). It works to help control blood volume. Valsartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker that selectively blocks the AT1 receptor and inhibits angiotensin-II-dependent aldosterone release. It works by blocking the action of certain natural substances that tighten the blood vessels, allowing the blood to flow more smoothly and the heart to pump more efficiently.

Inform your healthcare provider about all the medicines you take, including prescription medications, over-the-counter medications, nutritional and vitamin supplements, and herbal products. Certain medications may interact with Neptaz 100mg Tablet and reduce its effectiveness by causing undesirable side effects. Inform your physician if you are taking medicines that contain aliskiren.

Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Your physician will decide the dose and duration of the treatment based on your disease severity and other factors. Swallow the tablets with a glass of water. You can take Neptaz 100mg Tablet with or without food. Do not crush, chew, or split the tablets. 

Neptaz 100 Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all drugs cause side effects, not everyone gets them. Neptaz 100mg side effects are 

Common

• Low blood pressure
• Increased potassium levels
• Dizziness

Serious

• Kidney damage
• Angioedema (swelling of the face, lips, tongue and throat, and difficulties in breathing)

• Take your medicine at the same time each day for best results.

• If you forget a dose, take the next one at the scheduled time; do not take a double dose to make up for a missed tablet.

• Inform your physician if you have kidney problems before starting this therapy.

• This medicine may lower your blood pressure, especially:

  1. When you first start taking it

  2. If you are dehydrated

• Stand or sit up slowly if you feel dizzy or lightheaded.

• Your doctor will perform lab tests at regular visits to monitor the effects of this medicine.
