Rasburnat 1.5mg Injection consists of the active ingredient Rasburicase. It is indicated to treat or prevent high uric acid levels in the blood in patients who have undergone chemotherapy treatment for cancer.
If you are diagnosed with G6PD deficiency, inform your physician before taking this medicine because you will be more likely to experience severe haemolytic anaemia or methaemoglobinemia. Tell your physician before taking this medicine if you have experienced allergic reactions to any medicines earlier.

- Initial management of high blood uric acid levels in blood cancer patients
How Rasburnat 1.5mg Injection works:
When anticancer medicines destroy cancer cells, a large quantity of uric acid releases into the blood. Rasburnat 1.5mg Injection works by enhancing the excretion of uric acid from the body through the kidneys. It converts the uric acid into allantoin, a molecule that can be excreted easily.
Interaction with other drugs:
Inform your physician regarding any medicines you are taking or have taken before the treatment.

How to use Rasburnat 1.5mg Injection:
Your physician will calculate the dose according to your body weight and inject this medicine into your vein before or during your chemotherapy treatment course.

Pregnancy:
Before you take this medicine, tell your physician if you are pregnant or think you might be pregnant.
Breastfeeding:
Consult your physician for advice before taking this medicine if you are a breastfeeding mother.
Liver:
Discuss with your physician before taking this medicine if you have liver problems.
Kidney:
Discuss with your physician before taking this medicine if you have kidney problems.
Others:
- Before taking this medicine, inform your physician if you are allergic to Rasburicase, uricases or any other ingredients.
- Inform your physician before taking this medicine if you have haemolytic anaemia or G6PD deficiency.
Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all medications cause side effects, not everyone gets them.
Serious:
- Swelling of face, lips, tongue
- Wheezing and breathing problems
