Renvela 800mg tablet uses are:

• Manage hyperphosphatemia (high blood phosphate levels)

• Prevent bone disease in combination with calcium and vitamin D supplements.

Renvela 800mg tablet functions by binding phosphate from ingested food within the digestive tract, thereby reducing phosphorus levels in the bloodstream.

1. Ciprofloxacin (Severe)
   Sevelamer can significantly reduce ciprofloxacin absorption, making the antibiotic less effective. These medicines should not be taken together.

2. Antiarrhythmic Drugs such as Amiodarone (Severe)
   Renvela may bind these medicines in the gut and reduce their absorption. Dose spacing and clinical monitoring are required.

3. Levothyroxine (Severe)
   Sevelamer can lower thyroid hormone absorption, leading to poor thyroid control. Thyroid function tests should be monitored, and dose separation is advised.

4. Immunosuppressants like Mycophenolate (Moderate)
   Renvela may reduce blood levels of these drugs. Doctors often recommend spacing doses by several hours.

5. Fat Soluble Vitamins A, D, E, and K (Moderate)
   Long term use can reduce vitamin absorption, increasing deficiency risk. Supplementation and monitoring may be needed.

6. Oral Iron Preparations (Mild)
   Sevelamer can bind iron in the gut and reduce absorption. Taking them at different times helps maintain iron levels.

• Keep out of sight and reach of pets and children.
• Do not freeze the medicine.
• Do not store above 30°C.
• Always check the expiry date before consuming it.

Take the Renvela 800mg tablet as your physician advises. Take medicine at a fixed time. It is given based on the level of phosphate in the blood. Usually, it is given three times a day with food. Do not crush, chew, or open the medicine. Your physician will decide the correct Renvela dosage and duration based on age, body weight, and disease condition.
