Introduction
Rosuvas 40mg tablet contains the active ingredient Rosuvastatin. It belongs to the category of medicines called statins and fibric acid derivatives. This medication treats high cholesterol and prevents heart attacks and strokes. It is advised to take a low-cholesterol diet and do regular exercises while taking this medication.
Do not consume this medicine if you are allergic to Rosuvastatin or it’s other ingredients. Inform your physician if you have kidney or liver problems, severe respiratory failure, thyroid problems, continuous muscle pain, or if you are drinking heavy amounts of alcohol regularly before starting treatment with Rosuvas 40mg tablet, and do not take it unless prescribed by your doctor. Rosuvastatin 40mg substitutes include Crestor 40mg, Rosuvast 40mg, or Rovas 40mg, but only under a doctor’s supervision.
Before starting treatment with this tablet, inform your doctor if you are taking fusidic acid or have taken it in the last seven days to treat bacterial infection. Using both together may increase the risk of muscle-related side effects, such as myopathy or rhabdomyolysis; close monitoring is necessary.Cyclosporine (Oral Route) – Severe
Concurrent use can significantly raise Rosuvastatin levels, increasing the risk of muscle toxicity; dose adjustments are required.Protease Inhibitors (Oral Route) – Moderate
Drugs like ritonavir may increase Rosuvastatin blood levels, enhancing the risk of side effects; dosage monitoring is advised.
