Introduction to Sido 8mg Capsule
Sido 8mg Capsule contains the active ingredient Silodosin. It belongs to the class of medications that target the human prostate, bladder base, bladder neck, and prostatic urethra. It treats the signs and symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) with an enlarged prostate in adult men.
The prostate gland enlarges its size after 40 years of age. BPH symptoms include frequent urination, urgency, restriction of the urine flow, and painful bladder.
Acute urine retention, characterised by painful urination, is most likely to develop in people with benign prostatic hyperplasia. Inform your doctor before using Sido 8mg Capsule if you have severe liver or kidney problems, dizziness, have cataract surgery or have been taking blood pressure or antifungal medications.
Uses of Sido 8mg Capsule
The Sido 8mg Capsule is used in the treatment of the following:
- It helps to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).
Therapeutic Effects of Sido 8mg Capsule
Sido 8mg Capsule is an alpha-blocker and is prescribed to treat the signs and symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). It relaxes the smooth muscle in these tissues by blocking the receptor without impacting the contractility. It also helps to relieve urinary incontinence.
Interaction of Sido 8mg Capsule with other drugs
Inform your physician about any prescribed medications, over-the-counter medicines, and nutritional or vitamin supplements you have taken before the treatment. Certain medications may interact with Sido 8mg Capsule and cause undesirable side effects.

- Store Sido 8mg Capsule away from light & moisture at a temperature not exceeding 30°C.

How to consume Sido 8mg Capsule
Take a Sido 8mg Capsule as prescribed by your doctor. Preferably, the capsule should be taken every day at the same time, with food. It is best to swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water rather than breaking or chewing it.

Breast Feeding
Sido 8mg Capsule is intended only for male patients and is not indicated for breastfeeding women.
Alcohol
It is unknown whether consuming alcohol while taking Sido 8mg Capsule is safe. Please speak with your physician.
Liver
Sido 8mg Capsule is unsafe in patients with severe liver disorders. Inform your doctor if you have any liver disorders before taking this medication and have not been evaluated for this condition.

Driving

Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all medications cause side effects, not everyone gets them.

- Severe allergic reactions (Swelling on the face, tongue, or throat)
- Skin reactions
- Irregular heartbeat
Common side effects of Sido 8mg Capsule are:
- Dizziness
- Runny or blocked nose
- Diarrhea
- Impotence and low sex drive
- Low sperm count and movement
- Enlarged or painful breasts.

Tell your doctor before the treatment commencement if you have lung and kidney disease. If you have ever fainted or felt dizzy when suddenly standing up, consult your doctor before taking Silodosin, as it reduces blood pressure. Avoid making plans to have children because this medicine leads to abnormal ejaculation (decreases the amount of semen released during sex) that temporarily affects male fertility.
