Solet 40mg Tablet contains the active constituent sotalol. It is used to treat certain types of irregular heartbeats. This medication is not recommended for children. Before taking this drug, it is vital to inform your physician if you have asthma, low blood pressure, circulation problems, kidney problems, heart problems, Raynaud’s syndrome (discoloration of the feet and hands), tumor or a condition called metabolic acidosis (buildup of acid).
This medication contains lactose. If you have been told that you have an intolerance to some sugars, let your doctor know before starting treatment. Check with the health care professional if alcohol drinking is advisable for you. Also, if you are about to have surgery, you need to tell the health care provider that you are taking Solet 40mg Tablet as it can affect anesthetics.

How to use Solet 40mg Tablet:
Always take Solet 40mg Tablet exactly as your doctor has prescribed you. The tablets must be swallowed whole with water and can be taken with or without food. Do not chew or crush the tablets.

Pregnancy:
This medication is not recommended for pregnant patients unless the doctor thinks it is essential. You need to tell your physician if you are pregnant before taking this medication.
Breastfeeding:
Do not breastfeed during treatment with Solet 40mg Tablet. You need to tell your physician if you are breastfeeding before taking this medication.
Liver:
You must let your health care provider know if you have liver problems, as this medication needs to be used with caution in liver disorder patients.
Kidney:
You need to tell your doctor if you have any kidney disorders before taking Solet 40mg Tablet, as this medicine is contraindicated in patients with kidney failure.
Others:
Talk to your physician if you:
- Have asthma, low blood pressure, or circulation problems.
- Have heart disorders, metabolic acidosis, tumor, or discoloration of hands and feet.
- Have intolerance to some sugars.
- Are about to have surgery.
