Ticarnic 3.1gm Injection contains the active component Ticarcillin and Clavulanic acid. Ticarcillin is an antibiotic belonging to the penicillin class. Clavulanic acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor. Individuals with hypersensitivity or allergic reactions to penicillins, cephalosporins, or other beta-lactam antibiotics should not take this medication. Ticarnic 3.1gm Injection is not recommended for individuals with mononucleosis (also known as the "kissing disease") or suspected viral infections, as it is primarily used to treat bacterial infections. This medication is eliminated from the body through the kidneys. Individuals with severe kidney impairment may require dose adjustments or alternative treatment options, and caution should be exercised. It contains a high amount of potassium. Individuals with hyperkalemia (high levels of potassium in the blood) need caution due to the potential for further increases in potassium levels.

• Liver dysfunction
• Hepatitis
• Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhea
• Agranulocytosis (severe decrease in white blood cells)
• Thrombocytopenia (low platelet count)

Common:

• Diarrhea
• Nausea and vomiting
• Skin rash or itching
• Headache
• Abdominal discomfort or pain
• Thrush (oral or vaginal fungal infection)
