Tricium PTH Pen is used to deliver Teriparatide in patients with:

• Postmenopausal osteoporosis (women with a high risk of fractures)

• Glucocorticoid-induced osteoporosis (bone loss caused by long-term steroid use)

• Osteoporosis in men who are at increased risk of fracture.

Note: The pen is only a delivery device. The Teriparatide cartridge must be purchased and used with it.

The pen is designed to:

• Safely deliver the prescribed dose of Teriparatide

• Enable easy, self-administered injections once trained

• Minimize errors in dosing

Once the cartridge is loaded and the needle is attached (as per instructions), the pen helps you inject the medicine quickly and painlessly under the skin.

Since Tricium PTH Pen is just a delivery device, it does not directly interact with other medicines. However, the Teriparatide medicine used with this pen can interact with other medications or supplements you may be taking.

Tell your doctor if you are using:

• Calcium or vitamin D supplements – These may increase calcium levels in your blood.

• Diuretics (water pills) – Especially thiazide diuretics, which can raise blood calcium levels.

• Digoxin – A heart medicine. High calcium levels may increase the risk of digoxin toxicity.

• Other osteoporosis treatments – Avoid combining Teriparatide with other bone-strengthening drugs unless advised by your doctor.

Always inform your doctor about:

• All prescription or over-the-counter medications

• Herbal products or health supplements you use.

• Store at a controlled temperature of 2°C to 8°C when in use.

• If the cartridge is removed, the pen can be stored at room temperature.

• Keep away from heat, light, and moisture.

• Keep out of reach of children and pets.

Tricium PTH Pen is a reusable injection device used to deliver Teriparatide under the skin, usually once daily. Before use, insert a compatible Teriparatide cartridge into the pen, attach a new sterile needle, set the prescribed dose, and inject it into the thigh or abdomen. Always use a new needle for each injection and store the pen in the refrigerator when the cartridge is in use. Do not share the pen with others. Use the pen only after proper training by a healthcare professional and follow the instructions provided in the user manual.

While the pen itself does not cause side effects, the medicine (Teriparatide) used with it may cause:

Common:

• Joint pain

• Headache

• Nausea or dizziness

• Increased sweating

• Injection site pain or redness

Serious (rare):

• High calcium levels (hypercalcemia)

• Low blood pressure when standing (orthostatic hypotension)

• Rare risk of bone cancer (osteosarcoma)

• Allergic reactions like rash or trouble breathing

Seek immediate medical help if you experience chest pain, swelling, or severe reactions.

• Use only with the compatible Teriparatide cartridges.

• Read the user manual before first-time use.

• Always attach a new sterile needle before each injection.

• Do not share your injection pen with others to avoid infection risk.

• The pen should be refrigerated (2°C–8°C) when a cartridge is loaded.

• Never freeze the pen.
