Valparin Chrono 300mg Tablet is an anticonvulsant medication that belongs to a class of drugs known as sodium channel modulators, containing the active ingredients Sodium valproate & valproic acid. It is used to treat epilepsy, including various seizure types and epilepsy syndromes. Epilepsy is a neurological disorder caused by recurrent and unpredictable seizures. Seizures are episodes of abnormal electrical activity in the brain that can lead to a wide range of symptoms, including loss of consciousness, muscle spasms, convulsions, altered sensations, or changes in behavior. It can also be prescribed for neurological conditions like bipolar disorder and migraines.

Do not use Valparin Chrono 300mg Tablet if you are allergic to sodium valproate, valproic acid or any of the other ingredients of this medicine. Individuals with a rare condition called porphyria (which affects the breakdown of components of red blood cells), a history of severe liver problems, urea cycle disorder, or mitochondrial disorder such as Alpers-Huttenlocher syndrome should avoid this medication.
