Introduction to Yasmin Tablet
Yasmin Tablet is a combination pill with the active substances Drospirenone and Ethinylestradiol, which belong to the class of oral contraceptives. It has the synthetic form of two female hormones, progestin and estrogen, working together to prevent pregnancy effectively in females of reproductive potential and to treat the symptoms of premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD). This combination is also indicated for the treatment of moderate acne vulgaris in women aged at least 14 years, provided they have no known contraindications to oral contraceptive therapy and have reached menarche (puberty). It is advised for acne treatment only if the patient also desires oral contraception for birth control purposes.
It is not recommended to take Drospirenone or Ethinylestradiol if you are allergic to them or any of their other ingredients. It is also not recommended for females who haven't reached puberty and after menopause. Before starting this medication, you must inform your doctor if you have had any blood disorders, tumors, liver or kidney failure, or heart or brain disorders. Give a detailed overview of your medical history and medication before starting to take this pill.

Therapeutic Effects of Yasmin Tablet
Yasmin Tablet contains synthetic forms of two female hormones, progestin, and estrogen. Besides preventing pregnancy, they also help with premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) by balancing hormones, which leads to fewer mood swings and less irritability during the menstrual cycle.
Interaction of Yasmin Tablet with other drugs
You should tell the doctor about all the medicines you take, including prescription medications, over-the-counter medications, nutritional or vitamin supplements, and herbal products. Certain medications may interact with Yasmin Tablet and reduce effectiveness by causing undesirable side effects.

How to consume Yasmin Tablet
Take the Yasmin Tablet exactly as directed by your healthcare provider. Take one tablet by mouth at the same time every day. You can take it with or without food. The failure rate may increase if pills are missed or taken incorrectly. Take the missed dose as soon as possible; do not double the dose to make up for a missed dose.

Pregnancy
Do not take Yasmin Tablet if you are pregnant. If you become pregnant while using Yasmin, discontinue it promptly and seek medical advice. If you wish to conceive, you can stop taking Yasmin anytime after consulting your doctor.
Breast Feeding
Yasmin Tablet are not recommended for use while breastfeeding. Consult your doctor if you intend to take Drospirenone and Ethinylestradiol pills while breastfeeding or if you are planning to breastfeed.
Lungs
Yasmin Tablet, is not recommended if you have a pulmonary embolism (blood clot in the lung). Inform your doctor if you have had any lung disorders before taking this pill, as their symptoms may worsen with Yasmin Tablet.
Liver
Yasmin Tablet may not be broken down properly (metabolized) in women with liver issues or severe liver impairment, leading to toxicity of the medicine. Therefore, informing your healthcare provider about any existing liver conditions or tumors before beginning this treatment is crucial.
Alcohol
It is generally recommended that patients taking Yasmin tablets avoid or limit their alcohol intake, as alcohol can increase the risk of liver damage and affect the metabolism of Yasmin tablets.
Driving
Yasmin Tablet is not expected to impair your ability to drive, cycle, or operate machinery.
