Zurig tablet uses are 

• Treatment of Gout
• Treatment of Chemotherapy for blood cancer

It works by inhibiting the enzyme called xanthine oxidase inhibitors, which are responsible for the production of uric acid in the body. By inhibiting this enzyme, this drug reduces the production of uric acid, which can help prevent gout attacks and the formation of uric acid crystals in the joints and other tissues.

Inform your healthcare provider about all the medicines you take, including prescription medications, over-the-counter medications, nutritional or vitamin supplements, and herbal products. Certain medications may interact with Zurig 80mg tablet and reduce effectiveness by causing undesirable side effects.

• Store Zurig 80mg tablet in the original package at room temperature (15°C to 30°C).
• Keep it out of reach from children.

Your doctor will decide the dose and duration of Zurig 80mg tablet based on the disease condition and other factors. Always take this medicine as prescribed by your doctor. Take the tablet at the same time every day, with or without food. Do not chew, crush, or break the tablet. Swallow the whole tablet with water. If you forgot to take the tablet, simply take your next dose at the scheduled time. Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.

Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all drugs cause side effects, not everyone gets them. Zurig 80mg side effects are 

Common

• Diarrhea
• Headache
• Rash
• Nausea
• Increase in gout symptoms
• Localised swelling due to retention of fluids in tissues
• Abnormal liver function
• Kidney problems

• Pregnancy warning: Zurig 80 mg tablet is not recommended for pregnant women, as it may harm the fetus. If you're pregnant or planning to become pregnant, consult your doctor.

• Breastfeeding: It is unknown whether the drug passes into breast milk, so breastfeeding during treatment is not recommended.

• Purine-rich food to avoid: Foods high in purines—such as spinach, meat (especially red meat like beef and pork), mushrooms, and cauliflower—should be avoided to reduce the risk of gout.

• Safe food options: Low-purine foods like fruits, vegetables, and whole grains are generally safe to eat.

• Hydration: Drink plenty of fluids while taking this medication to help prevent kidney stones, a possible side effect.

• Alcohol consumption: Avoid or limit alcohol intake, as it may increase the risk of gout flares.
