Calcium works by neutralizing the acid released in the stomach. Calcitriol acts by regulating phosphorous and calcium levels in the body. Carbonate works by increasing the bone-building process. Together, Calcium carbonate + Calcitriol supports immune function, DNA synthesis, cell division, wound healing, maintaining bone density, and promoting calcium transport from the bloodstream into the bone.

Take the Calcium carbonate + Calcitriol Tablet as advised by your physician. Do not crush, chew, or open the medicine. Your physician will decide the correct dosage and duration based on age, body weight, and disease condition. Only stop taking the tablet if your doctor advises you to stop.

The side effects known to occur commonly during the treatment with Calcium carbonate + Calcitriol are constipation, stomach upset, headache, nausea, vomiting. loss of appetite, mood changes, fast heartbeat, muscle pain, weakness or tiredness.

This drug is contraindicated in individuals with known hypersensitivity or allergy to it or its component. Carbonate promotes calcium transfer from the bloodstream into the bone, which helps maintain bone density. The symptoms likely associated with Calcium carbonate + Calcitriol are constipation, stomach upset, headache, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, tiredness, weakness, fast heartbeat, muscle pain, and mood changes. Inform your doctor if any of these symptoms disturb you or persist. Inform your doctor if you experience hypersensitivity to Calcium carbonate + Calcitriol or any of its ingredients.

Before treatment with this medication, let your physician know if you have kidney stones, hypervitaminosis D (high vitamin D levels), hypercalcemia (high calcium levels), malabsorption syndrome, heart, liver, or kidney disease. Consult your healthcare provider if you are a pregnant or breastfeeding woman. This medication should be given to children when prescribed by a doctor.

You should avoid drinking alcohol while using Calcium carbonate + Calcitriol since it can interfere with calcium absorption. It is advised to check heart function and serum electrolyte levels regularly. A low-phosphate diet is advised for dialysis patients to manage their serum phosphorus levels.
