Introduction to Aktocyte 500mg Tablet

Aktocyte 500mg tablet contains an active component called Sodium copper chlorophyllin. It is a water-soluble chlorophyll extract derived from the leaves of white mulberry trees. It has shown antimutagenic and antioxidant properties which helps to prevent genetic damage in individuals. 

It is an adjuvant to cancer radiotherapy and has shown remarkable results in pelvic cancer patients who are suffering from radiotherapy-induced cystitis (radiation in the pelvis can damage the lining of the bladder). It helps in fast recovery and prevents the need for cystectomy (removal of bladder) in cancer patients. The experts from the Department of Atomic Energy and IDRS labs were involved in the development of Aktocyte tablets with the aim of reducing the side effects of radiotherapy. It is a Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) approved tablet.
