Introduction:

Geroz XT Tablet is a form of iron supplement composed of Heme iron polypeptide 12mg and folic acid 5mg. It is a intended to treat or prevent iron deficiency anaemia in .

During certain conditions (pregnancy, surgery, kidney diseases, chemotherapy, etc.) the body becomes incapable of utilizing all the required sources of vitamins and minerals. In such cases your physician will prescribe a supplement for maintaining the body processes. Geroz XT is prescribed in patients who are intolerant to regular iron supplements (eg, ferrous sulphate)

Chronic kidney disease refers to the irreversible deterioration of kidney function, which progresses over the years. Patients having chronic kidney disease (CKD) are often at a high risk of bleeding and phosphate accumulation in the blood. Anaemia occurs in CKD due to impairment in platelet function.

How Geroz XT Tablet works:

The heme present in this tablet attaches to the heme carrier protein that transport the iron to the site where red blood cells are produced. Folic acid helps in protein synthesis and supports the growth of cells.
