Introduction to Symgluta Sachet
Symgluta Sachet contains the active ingredient L-glutamine. It is a nutritional supplement that belongs to the class of medications called amino acids. It is used to reduce acute complications, such as painful episodes (crises) of sickle cell disease (An inherited blood disorder in which the RBC is abnormally shaped and cannot bring enough oxygen to all parts of the body). This medicine is also used to treat nutritional deficiencies in certain diseases. It might also assist in building muscle mass, improving exercise performance, improving digestion, and enhancing immune function.
Do not take Symgluta Sachet if you are allergic to L-glutamine or any of the other ingredients in the medicine. Inform your physician if you have liver or kidney problems before initiating the treatment. This medicine is not recommended in children less than 2 years of age. Do not take this medicine if you have end-stage liver or kidney failure where protein intake is restricted. Glutamine in this medicine helps improve immunity, regulate bowel function, and help in weight management. The most common side effects are constipation, nausea, headache, abdominal pain, cough, pain in the extremities, back pain, and chest pain.
