Ascor-C 1.5gm Injection contains ascorbic acid. It is used to treat and prevent vitamin C deficiency. It is given when vitamin C deficiency is severe or taking tablets is difficult. Severe vitamin C deficiency could lead to a disease called scurvy which causes bleeding gums, anemia, bruising, and poor wound healing. You need to talk to your physician if you have kidney problems, genetic disease called G6PD deficiency, or if you smoke before taking Ascor-C 1.5gm Injection. You must avoid drinking alcohol during treatment with this medication. Make sure you inform your physician of all the medicines, including supplements and herbal medicines, you are taking before you start treatment with this medication. Ask your doctor before you take any other vitamin supplements.

Pregnancy:
Large doses of Ascor-C 1.5gm Injection are not recommended during pregnancy since the effect of larger doses on the fetus is unknown. you need to inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to get pregnant before taking this medicine.
Breastfeeding:
Inform your doctor if you are breastfeeding before taking Ascor-C 1.5gm Injection.
Kidney:
You need to tell your doctor if you have any kidney disorders before taking Ascor-C 1.5gm Injection.
Alcohol:
Avoid drinking alcohol during the treatment.
Others:
- You need to talk with your physician if you have genetic disorder (G6PD deficiency), any allergic conditions or if you smoke before taking Ascor-C 1.5gm Injection.
Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all medicines cause side effects, not everyone gets them.
Common:
- Redness, pain or swelling at the injection site
