Asviia 3750IU/5ML Injection is a chemotherapy drug containing the active constituent Pegaspargase. It is used to treat a type of blood cancer called Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL).  This is a white blood cell cancer in which the immature white cells start growing out of control, thus preventing the production of functional blood cells. Combined with other chemotherapy drugs, this medication can help increase the chances of remission and long-term survival for people with ALL. It is particularly effective in treating children with ALL, who have a higher remission rate and overall survival when included in their treatment plan. 

Asviia 3750IU/5ML Injection is typically used with other chemotherapy agents to treat ALL, particularly in patients who have not responded to other treatments or who have relapsed after initial treatment. Glucose intolerance can occur with the administration of Asviia 3750IU/5ML Injection. Contact your doctor if you experience severe headaches, abdominal pain, excessive thirst, or serious allergic reactions while taking this medicine. Patients with previous kidney and pancreatic disease should talk to their healthcare provider before taking this medication.

Asviia 3750IU/5ML Injection is indicated to treat the following conditions: 

• Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia
• Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma

Asviia 3750IU/5ML Injection is an enzyme that breaks down the amino acid asparagine in the body. Cancer cells require asparagine to grow and divide and cannot produce their asparagine. By breaking down asparagine in the body, this medication can effectively "starve" cancer cells of this essential nutrient, slowing their growth and promoting cancer cell death. However, normal cells in the body can produce their asparagine and are not as affected by the enzyme as cancer cells. Therefore, this medicine selectively targets cancer cells while sparing healthy cells in the body to some extent.

Inform your healthcare provider about all the medicines you take, including prescription, over-the-counter, nutritional or vitamin supplements, and herbal products. Certain medications may interact with Asviia 3750IU/5ML Injection and reduce effectiveness by causing undesirable side effects.

• Store in a refrigerator at 2-8°C.
• Do not freeze.
• Protected from light.
• Keep it in its original packaging until it is ready to be used.
• Keep out of the reach of children and pets.
• Should be disposed of properly.

Asviia 3750IU/5ML Injection is typically administered by a healthcare provider as an intravenous (IV) injection in a clinical setting. The dosage and frequency of infusions will vary depending on the patient's medical condition, age, weight, and other factors. You should not take a double dose to make up the second dose.

Like all medications, Asviia 3750IU/5ML Injection can cause side effects, although not everyone who takes it will experience them.

• Thrombosis (blood clots)
• Hemorrhage (bleeding)
• Tumor Lysis Syndrome (a potentially life-threatening condition due to the breakdown of cancer cells)
• Acute pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas)
• Hepatotoxicity (liver damage or failure)
• Neurotoxicity (damage to the nervous system)
• Hypersensitivity reactions (allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis)
• Renal failure (kidney damage or failure) 

Common: 

• Nausea
• Vomiting
• Diarrhea
• Fatigue
• Loss of appetite
• Headache
• Fever or chills
• Muscle or joint pain
• Rash or itching
• Swelling or redness at the injection site

If you are receiving treatment with Asviia 3750IU/5ML Injection, report any side effects or concerns promptly. If you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant or breastfeeding, it is important to discuss the risks and benefits with your healthcare provider. If patients see any sign of jaundice (yellow skin and eyes, abdominal pain, vomiting) after taking this medication, they should contact a doctor immediately because it can cause pancreas inflammation.
