Introduction
Aviverge AZ Solution for Infusion is an antibacterial combination medicine containing Aztreonam and Avibactam as its active ingredients, primarily prescribed to treat serious and complicated bacterial infections caused by multidrug-resistant Gram-negative organisms. Aviverge AZ Solution for Infusion is used to treat serious infections when standard antibiotics are ineffective, making it an important option in hospital settings for managing resistant bacterial infections. Aviverge AZ Solution for Infusion benefits from its dual-action mechanism, which targets beta-lactamase-producing organisms and extends antibacterial coverage where conventional treatments fail. The Aziverge AZ Solution infusion dose is determined by the type and severity of infection, kidney function, and the patient's overall clinical condition, and is administered as an intravenous infusion under close medical supervision, with dose adjustments required in patients with renal impairment.
Aviverge AZ Solution for Infusion side effects include nausea, diarrhoea, stomach discomfort, headache, and infusion-site reactions. Inform your doctor about any history of kidney disease or drug allergies before starting therapy, as careful monitoring or dose modification may be necessary. When planning treatment, healthcare providers may also evaluate the Aviverge AZ Solution for Infusion substitute or alternative, if clinically appropriate, based on bacterial sensitivity and patient-specific factors. The Aviverge AZ Solution for Infusion price may vary depending on hospital procurement, formulation strength, and regional availability. Check the current price and buy Aviverge AZ Solution for Infusion online at MrMed with pan-India delivery.
Uses
Treatment of serious infections caused by susceptible multidrug-resistant Gram-negative bacteria.
Management of complicated infections where beta-lactamase-producing organisms are suspected or confirmed.
How Aviverge AZ Solution for Infusion works
Aztreonam works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to bacterial destruction. However, many resistant bacteria produce β-lactamase enzymes that can inactivate aztreonam. Avibactam blocks these enzymes, preventing the breakdown of aztreonam. This combination restores and extends antibacterial activity, allowing effective treatment of resistant infections.
Interaction of Aviverge AZ Solution for Infusion Tablet with other drugs
Probenecid (Severe)
Probenecid can reduce renal clearance of aztreonam, increasing drug levels in the blood and raising the risk of toxicity. Combined use is generally avoided.Other Nephrotoxic Antibiotics, such as Aminoglycosides or Colistin (Severe)
Using these medicines together may increase the risk of kidney damage. Kidney function should be closely monitored during combined therapy.Loop Diuretics like Furosemide (Moderate)
Concurrent use may add to kidney stress, especially in critically ill patients. Regular monitoring of renal function is advised.Oral Anticoagulants such as Warfarin (Moderate)
Broad-spectrum antibiotics can alter gut flora and affect clotting control. INR monitoring is recommended during and after therapy.Live Bacterial Vaccines such as Oral Typhoid (Moderate)
Antibiotic therapy may reduce vaccine effectiveness. Vaccination should be delayed until antibiotic treatment is completed.Sodium-containing IV Medicines (Mild)
