• Prevents blood clots in patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS)

• Reduces the risk of heart attacks, strokes, and clot formation in stents

Axcer works by blocking a specific receptor (P2Y12) on blood platelets. This prevents the platelets from clumping together, which in turn reduces the chances of blood clot formation. By maintaining smoother blood flow, it helps prevent life-threatening conditions like myocardial infarction (heart attack) and stroke in people with existing heart conditions.

Always inform your doctor about all medicines you are taking, including prescription drugs, over-the-counter products, and herbal supplements. Axcer can interact with certain medicines, which may increase the risk of side effects or reduce its effectiveness. These include:

• Rosuvastatin, Digoxin

• Phenytoin, Rifampicin, Carbamazepine

• Verapamil, Cyclosporine

• Clarithromycin, Atazanavir

• Certain antidepressants (e.g., Citalopram) and opioids

Avoid using Axcer with strong CYP3A4 inhibitors or inducers unless advised by your doctor.

• Store below 30°C in a cool, dry place.

• Keep away from the reach of children.

• Do not stop the medicine abruptly without your doctor’s advice.

Take Axcer 90mg Tablet exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Swallow the tablet whole with water. It can be taken with or without food, but it's best to take it at the same time every day. Do not crush or chew the tablet.

If you are scheduled for surgery or dental work, your doctor might advise you to pause this medication 5 days in advance to reduce the risk of bleeding.

Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all drugs cause side effects, not everyone gets them.

Serious

• Shortness of breath
• Blood clotting problem called TTP (purplish spots in the mouth or mouth, fever, confusion, yellowing of the eyes or skin, fever)
• Fainting
• Bleeding (red or black stools, coughing up or vomiting with blood, red, pink, or brown urine)

Common

• Headache
• Indigestion
• Nausea
• Constipation
• Rash, itching
• Pain and swelling in the joints
• Blurred vision
• Bleeding gums
• Bruising

• Since Axcer affects how your blood clots, be extra cautious to avoid injuries, especially while shaving, handling sharp objects, or playing contact sports.
• Always inform healthcare professionals (including dentists) that you’re taking a blood thinner before any procedure.
• Do not skip doses or stop the medication without medical advice, as it may increase the risk of heart attack or stroke.
