The Bortebuzz 3.5mg Injection is used in the following:

• Treatment of multiple myeloma
• Treatment of mantle cell lymphoma

Bortebuzz 3.5mg Injection works by exerting a toxic effect on cancer cells. It inhibits the 26S proteasome and blocks a major cell signaling pathway. This inhibition of the signaling pathway makes the cancer cells sensitive to chemotherapy. By inhibiting the proteasome, Bortebuzz 3.5mg Injection disrupts the normal process of protein degradation within the cell. This leads to the accumulation of misfolded or damaged proteins, which are toxic to the cell. The accumulation of misfolded proteins triggers a series of cellular responses, including the activation of stress pathways and the induction of apoptosis. This medicine also enhances the build-up of a protein and minimizes cancer cell growth and multiplication.

Inform your healthcare provider about all the medicines you take, including prescription medications, over-the-counter medications, nutritional or vitamin supplements, and herbal products. Certain medications may interact with Bortebuzz 3.5mg Injection and reduce effectiveness by causing undesirable side effects.

• Store Bortebuzz 3.5mg Injection in a refrigerator (2°C – 8°C).
• Do not freeze.
• Protect the medicine from light and excessive moisture.
• Keep the medicine out of reach of children and pets
• It is important to get the dose at the scheduled time. If you missed the schedule, contact your doctor and reschedule the dose.

Bortebuzz 3.5mg Injection is administered by intravenously (in your vein) or subcutaneously (under the skin). It is given by a healthcare professional in a hospital setting. The dosage and frequency of Bortebuzz 3.5mg Injection will depend on various factors, including the patient's age, weight, overall health, and the type and stage of disease being treated. It's important to follow the dosing instructions provided by a healthcare provider and not to adjust the dosage or frequency without consulting them first. 

Do not self-administer this injection. If a dose is missed, it should be taken as soon as possible unless it's within 6 hours of the next scheduled dose. In that case, the missed dose should be skipped and the regular dosing schedule resumed. It's important not to take a double dose of Bortebuzz 3.5mg Injection to make up for a missed dose.

Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all drugs cause side effects, not everyone gets them. 

Serious side effects of Bortebuzz 3.5mg Injection are:

• Peripheral neuropathy
• Hypotension
• Cardiac toxicity
• Posterior Reversible Encephalopathy Syndrome (PRES)
• Tumor Lysis Syndrome
• Hepatic Toxicity
• Thrombotic Microangiopathy

Common side effects of Bortebuzz 3.5mg Injection are:

• Loss of appetite
• Sensitivity, tingling and burning sensation of the skin
• Nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea
• Mouth ulcers
• Constipation
• Muscle and bone pain
• Hair loss
• Fever
• Reduction in blood cell count
• Reduced kidney function
• Shivering
• Infections
• Dehydration
• Stomach problems
• Difficulty sleeping, anxiety, mood swings, depressed mood

• Follow treatment guidance: Always take Bortebuzz 3.5mg Injection exactly as instructed by your doctor. Do not stop the medicine without medical advice, even if you feel better. Report any side effects or unusual symptoms promptly. Both men and women must use effective contraception during treatment and for three months after stopping.

• Regular monitoring: This medicine can lower red and white blood cells as well as platelets. You will need regular blood tests before and during treatment to monitor blood counts. If you are on antidiabetic medication, check your blood sugar levels frequently and inform your doctor if you notice any fluctuations.

• Diet and lifestyle care: Eat anti-inflammatory foods such as olive oil, nuts, seeds, fatty fish, fruits, and vegetables. Include healthy fats like avocados, almonds, and seeds to support overall health. Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water throughout the day.

• Precautions and medical advice: Inform your doctor if you have or have had hepatitis B. Always consult your physician before taking vaccinations, as some may not be safe during treatment. Keep up with all scheduled appointments and follow-ups to ensure your therapy is working and side effects are managed.
