Curosurf 120mg injection is used in the following:

• Respiratory distress syndrome (RDS)

Curosurf 120mg injection lowers the surface tension in the lungs by forming a film on the surface of the alveoli, the tiny air sacs in the lungs. This film reduces the force of attraction between the water molecules in the alveoli, making it easier for them to stay open.

Inform the doctor about your medicines, including prescription, over-the-counter, nutritional or vitamin supplements, and herbal products. Certain medications may interact with Curosurf 120mg injection, reducing effectiveness by causing undesirable side effects. 

• Should be stored at room temperature, between 2°C to 8°C
• Keep away from moisture, heat, and light.
• It should not be frozen.
• Keep away from children and pets.

Curosurf 120mg injection is administered through a breathing tube into the infant's lungs. This is called endotracheopulmonary administration. It is a relatively simple procedure that can be done in a hospital setting.

Curosurf 120mg injection causes some side effects like all medications, although not everyone will experience them. 

Serious:

• Anaphylaxis
• Bleeding
• Pulmonary hemorrhage
• Intracranial hemorrhage
• Surfactant protein B deficiency

Common

• Bradycardia
• Hypotension
• Hypoxemia (decreased oxygen)
• Respiratory distress
• Apnea
• Froth at the mouth
• Irritation at the injection site

When receiving Curosurf 120mg injection, it is important to tell your doctor about all of your medical conditions and medications. Be aware of the signs and symptoms of an allergic reaction, such as hives, swelling, difficulty breathing, or rash. Contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of these symptoms. It should be administered by a healthcare professional, and you should monitor yourself or your baby for any signs of problems, such as breathing problems, jaundice, or allergic reactions. Do not try to administer this medication yourself. Be aware of the signs and symptoms of an allergic reaction, bleeding, respiratory distress, apnea, and liver problems and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of these symptoms. Be aware of the signs and symptoms of apnea, such as a temporary cessation of breathing. Contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of these symptoms.
