Daruvir 600mg Tablet is an antiretroviral drug belonging to the family of medicines called protease inhibitors, containing the active ingredient Darunavir. It is used to treat HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) infection by increasing the immunity in adults and children of three years or older. 

However, this medicine doesn't cure HIV, but it may lower the chance of developing acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) and HIV-related conditions. This medicine should be taken in combination with ritonavir or cobicistat and other anti-HIV medicines. 

Do not consume this medicine if allergic to Daruvir 600mg Tablet and its other ingredients. Inform your physician if you have liver diseases, such as hepatitis B or C injection; Your doctor may monitor your liver before suggesting Daruvir 600mg Tablet. Notify your doctor if you have diabetes; this medicine might increase the sugar level in the blood. 

Also, tell your doctor if you notice any symptoms of infections (enlarged lymph nodes and fever). Before starting, inform your doctor if you have haemophilia (inherited bleeding disorder). Contact your physician immediately if you notice any musculoskeletal problems (joint aches, stiffness, and pains, particularly in the hip, knee, and shoulder, and difficulty in movement. Notify your doctor if you are older than 65 years. 

Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to get pregnant or breastfeeding. In men, this medicine can pass into semen, so use effective contraception during and after seven days of the last dose. Discuss with your doctor for more fertility concerns; before starting with the Daruvir 600mg Tablet, notify your doctor if you consume any other medicine. Consult your doctor regularly to prevent the risk of other conditions.

Daruvir 600mg Tablet is used in the treatment of the following:

• Treatment of HIV infection

Daruvir 600mg Tablet inhibits the activity of the HIV protease enzyme, which is responsible for the replication of the virus. This prevents the production of mature and infectious viral particles. 

Inform your doctor about any prescribed medications, over-the-counter medicines, nutritional or vitamin supplements, and herbal products you take or have taken before the treatment. Certain medications such as Phenobarbital, Phenytoin, Efavirenz, St John's wort, and other medicines may interact with Daruvir 600mg Tablet and can cause undesirable side effects. 

• Keep out of sight and reach of pets and children

• Store protected from light at a temperature not exceeding 30°C.

Take the Daruvir 600mg Tablet as advised by your physician. Do not crush, chew, or open the medicine. Your physician will decide the correct dosage and duration based on age, body weight, and disease condition. Only stop taking the tablet if your doctor advises you to stop.

1. Daruvir 800mg may reduce the effectiveness of hormonal contraceptives — use non-hormonal contraception after discussing with your doctor.

2. Do not stop taking Daruvir without medical advice, even if you feel better.

3. Regular blood tests are necessary to monitor liver function and hepatitis B levels during treatment.

4. Long-term use may increase the risk of osteonecrosis, a serious bone condition.
