Introduction
Daruvir 800 mg Tablet is an antiretroviral drug from the class of medicines known as protease inhibitors, containing the active ingredient Darunavir. It is widely used as part of a Daruvir HIV treatment regimen to help manage HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) infection in adults and children aged three years or older by improving the immune system’s ability to fight the virus.
While it does not cure HIV, it can reduce the risk of developing acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) and other HIV-related illnesses. For best results, Daruvir dosage instructions require it to be taken in combination with ritonavir or cobicistat and other prescribed anti-HIV medicines.
Do not use Daruvir if you are allergic to its ingredients. Inform your doctor if you have liver disease, such as hepatitis B or C, as liver function may need monitoring before and during treatment.
