Introduction

Dasanat 20mg tablet consists of the active ingredient Dasatinib. It is prescribed for adults and children above one year of age with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML). This medicine is used to treat newly diagnosed Philadelphia chromosome-positive (Ph+) chronic myeloid leukemia in the chronic phase and Ph+ acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) in patients resistant to other therapies. Chronic Myeloid Leukemia refers to a type of blood cancer that causes the body to produce too many white blood cells due to alterations in the Philadelphia chromosome. Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia is the most common form of blood cancer affecting children, where lymphocytes multiply too quickly and live too long. These conditions form the major Dasanat 20mg uses.

Patients often check the Dasanat 20mg price before beginning therapy, and costs may vary depending on pharmacy and manufacturer. For those comparing treatment options, Dasanat 20mg vs Sprycel (both containing Dasatinib) is a common search, as Sprycel is another well-known brand of the same medication. If needed, your doctor may also suggest Dasanat 20mg substitutes depending on availability and treatment response. Many patients prefer convenience and choose to buy Dasanat 20mg online, provided it is from a trusted and legal pharmacy. The product is generally available as a Dasanat 20mg tablet 1mg strength equivalent per active dose, manufactured by approved pharmaceutical companies; specific Dasanat 20mg manufacturer details can vary based on the brand.

The common Dasanat 20mg side effects include diarrhea, headache, cough, rash, nausea, tiredness, vomiting, muscle pain, weakness, low appetite, and fluctuations in blood pressure. One of the important safety considerations is Dasanat 20mg and pleural effusion, as Dasatinib is known to cause fluid accumulation around the lungs in some patients. Inform your doctor immediately if you notice trouble breathing, chest tightness, or persistent cough. Inform your doctor if these or any other side effects disturb or persist you.

Inform your doctor if you are allergic to Dasatinib or any of its ingredients. Before starting treatment with this medication, you should let your physician know if you have liver or heart problems, breathing difficulties, chest pain, cough, hepatitis B infection, or bleeding issues. This medicine could cause a severe reduction in the number of platelets, WBC, or RBC in the blood, so your physician will monitor your blood levels regularly. Tell your healthcare professional about all the medicines you take, including prescription drugs, OTC medicines, vitamins, antacids, and herbal supplements. It is not recommended for children below one year of age. Your doctor will also guide you on how to take Dasanat 20mg tablet safely, usually swallowed whole with water and taken at the same time each day.
