Introduction to Entavir 1mg Tablet

Entavir 1mg tablet is an antiviral drug belonging to the category of medicines called nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NRTIs), containing the active ingredient Entecavir. It is used for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection. It occurs when the immune system is unable to effectively clear the virus from the liver within six months after the initial infection.

Before starting the treatment with this drug, it is important to inform your doctor about any existing skin problems, as well as any history of anemia, seizures, or liver or kidney disease. Regular blood tests may be important to monitor your blood counts and liver function while using this medication. These tests help your healthcare provider assess how your body is responding to the medication and detect any potential side effects or complications early on. Alcohol consumption should be completely avoided, as it may increase the risk of liver damage. This drug may cause lactic acidosis (excess lactic acid in the blood), a rare but severe adverse effect, particularly in obese women. But if you have nausea, vomiting, or stomach pain while taking this tablet, please contact your physician immediately.

Consult your doctor before using this medication if you are pregnant or plan to have a baby. Entavir 1mg tablet should not be taken while pregnant unless specifically advised by your doctor. Using effective contraceptive methods while using this tablet is recommended to avoid pregnancy. Avoid breastfeeding your baby while on the treatment, as it is unknown if this drug passes into the breast milk. Do not take this tablet if you are allergic to any of the other ingredients of this medicine. It is important for individuals living with HIV to take precautions to prevent transmission of the virus. This includes avoiding unprotected sex and sharing personal items such as razors or toothbrushes. Condoms and other safe practices can help reduce the risk of transmitting HIV during sexual activity. It is recommended to have a discussion with your doctor about appropriate measures for preventing transmission.
