Introduction
Enzyl 80mg Tablet contains Enzalutamide, a targeted anticancer medicine classified as an androgen receptor inhibitor. It is widely prescribed in men for advanced prostate cancer, including cases where the disease continues to progress despite hormonal or surgical castration.
Prostate cancer growth is often fuelled by male hormones called androgens. Enzyl works by blocking the action of these hormones in cancer cells, helping to slow down disease progression and improve treatment outcomes.
During treatment, your doctor may recommend regular PSA (Prostate-Specific Antigen) tests to monitor response. Routine follow-ups may also include blood pressure monitoring, liver function tests, and complete blood counts, especially in long-term therapy.
This medicine may increase the risk of seizures in rare cases, particularly in patients with a history of neurological disorders. Grapefruit and grapefruit juice should be avoided, as they can increase drug levels in the body. Enzyl may also cause harm to an unborn baby through exposure, so effective contraception is essential for men with female partners of childbearing age during treatment and for at least 3 months after stopping the medicine. How Enzyl 80mg Tablet Works

By preventing androgen binding, Enzyl :
Reduces cancer cell signalling.
Slows cancer growth and spread.
Lowers tumour activity and progression.
Interaction of Enzyl 80mg Tablet with Other Medications
Tell your doctor if you are taking any medicines regularly, including herbal supplements or over-the-counter products. Enzyl may interact with certain drugs that affect liver enzymes or the nervous system.
Important interactions may occur with:
Blood thinners (anticoagulants).
Anti-seizure medicines.
Certain heart rhythm medications.
Medicines that affect liver metabolism (enzyme inducers/inhibitors).
These interactions may either increase side effects or reduce treatment effectiveness.
Storage conditions
Store in a cool, dry place between 20°C and 25 °C.

How to Take Enzyl 80mg Tablet

If you miss a dose, take it the next day at the regular time. Do not take a double dose.

Pregnancy
Enzyl is not used in women, but exposure during pregnancy may cause fetal harm. Men with female partners should use effective contraception during treatment and for 3 months after the final dose.
Breast Feeding
Enzyl is not intended for use in women, especially during breastfeeding. If accidental exposure occurs, consult a healthcare professional.
Lungs
Safety in certain lung conditions has not been fully established. Inform your doctor if you have any chronic breathing issues.
Liver
Patients with liver problems require careful monitoring. Liver function tests may be advised before and during treatment.
Alcohol
