Erdanat 3 Tablet uses to treat the following conditions:

• Locally advanced urothelial carcinoma

• Metastatic urothelial carcinoma with FGFR genetic alterations

Erdanat 3 Tablet works by inhibiting fibroblast growth factor receptor (FGFR) 1–4, which are proteins involved in cell growth and survival. In some cancers, these receptors are overactive due to genetic mutations, leading to uncontrolled tumour growth. By blocking these receptors, this medicine slows down the growth of cancer cells and may help shrink tumours.

Taking Erdanat 3 mg Tablet with any of the following medicines can alter the effects of either and may increase the risk of serious side effects.

Strong CYP3A4 inhibitors such as Ketoconazole or Clarithromycin (Oral Route) Moderate
Use with caution.
These medicines may increase erdafitinib levels, leading to increased side effects.

Strong CYP3A4 inducers such as Rifampicin or Phenytoin (Oral Route) Moderate
Avoid concomitant use.
These medicines may reduce the effectiveness of erdafitinib.

Phosphate-lowering agents (Oral Route) Moderate
Use with caution.
They may interfere with monitoring phosphate levels, which is important during treatment.

Other anticancer medicines (Oral/Injection Route) Moderate
Use carefully.
May increase the risk of combined toxicity.

• Store Erdanat Tablet at room temperature (20°C to 25°C).

• Keep it in a dry place away from moisture and heat.

• Protect from light.

• Keep it in its original packaging until use.

• Keep out of the reach of children and pets.

• Dispose of properly as per medical guidelines.

Erdanat 3 Tablet is taken orally as a tablet, usually once daily or as prescribed by the doctor. It should be swallowed whole with or without food. The dosage may be adjusted based on blood phosphate levels and treatment response. Do not crush or chew the tablet. Do not take a double Erdanat 3 Tablet dosage to make up for a missed one.

Erdanat 3 Tablet side effects may occur, although not everyone will experience them.

Serious side effects of Erdanat 3 Tablet are:

• Eye disorders such as central serous retinopathy

• Severe hyperphosphatemia (high phosphate levels)

• Hand-foot syndrome

• Severe skin reactions

• Nail disorders

• Stomatitis (inflammation of the mouth)

Common side effects of Erdanat 3 Tablet are:

• Dry mouth

• Fatigue

• Diarrhoea

• Decreased appetite

• Taste changes

• Dry skin

• Hair thinning

• Constipation

• Attend regular eye check-ups during treatment.

• Drink adequate fluids and maintain good oral hygiene.

• Report any vision changes or eye discomfort immediately.

• Follow dietary advice to manage phosphate levels.

• Avoid self-medication and inform your doctor about all medicines you are taking.

• Use effective contraception during and after treatment as advised.
