Erypro Prefill 4000IU Injection uses in the following:

• Anemia due to Chronic kidney disease (CKD)

• Anemia due to Cancer chemotherapy

• Anemia due to HIV infection treatment with zidovudine

Erypro prefill 4000IU injection works by stimulating the bone marrow to produce more red blood cells. Red blood cells carry oxygen to the body's tissues, so increasing the number of red blood cells can help to treat anemia.

1. Iron Supplements (Moderate)
   Concurrent use enhances erythropoietin effectiveness by supporting red blood cell production. Monitor iron levels to avoid overload.

2. Cytotoxic / Chemotherapy Drugs (Severe)
   Chemotherapy may reduce the effectiveness of erythropoietin. Use under oncologist supervision to adjust dosing.

3. Androgens / Anabolic Steroids (Moderate)
   These may increase erythropoietin response, potentially raising hematocrit excessively. Monitor blood counts.

4. ACE Inhibitors / ARBs (Moderate)
   These drugs may blunt erythropoietin’s effect on hemoglobin. Dose adjustments may be required.

5. Thalidomide / Lenalidomide (Moderate)
   These drugs may increase the risk of thromboembolic events when used with erythropoietin. Close monitoring is advised.

• Should be stored at room temperature, between 2°C to 8°C

• Keep away from moisture, heat, and light.

• It should not be frozen.

• Keep away from children and pets.

Erypro Prefill 4000IU is injected subcutaneously, which means under the skin. It is usually given in the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm.

Erypro Prefill Injection side effects like all medications, although not everyone will experience them. 

Serious

• Blood clots

• Death

• High blood pressure

• Seizures

• Tumor growth

• Allergic reactions

• Kidney problems

• Liver problems

• Bone marrow problems

Common

• Headache

• Nausea

• Vomiting

• Diarrhea

• Muscle cramps

• Pain at the injection site

• Redness, swelling, or itching at the injection site

• Fatigue

• Dizziness

• Chills

• Fever

• Inform your doctor about all medical conditions, including high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, kidney or liver disease, cancer, and history of blood clots.

• Monitor your blood pressure regularly while on this medication.

• Get routine blood tests to track red blood cell count and other important blood levels.

• Do not self-inject; only a doctor or nurse should administer this injection.

• Report any side effects immediately, stay hydrated, and rise carefully from sitting or lying positions to avoid dizziness.
