Introduction:
Evermil 10mg Tablet is a targeted therapy containing Everolimus as an active constituent. It is used to treat hormone-receptor-positive advanced breast cancer in post-menopausal women. It is also used to treat neuroendocrine tumors, brain tumors, and advanced kidney cancer. Cancer is a disorder in which cells multiply in an uncontrolled and abnormal manner.
Discuss with your doctor if you have had recent major surgery, unhealed wound following surgery, liver disorders, infection, hepatitis B, or if you need to receive a vaccine before taking this medicine. Evermil 10mg Tablet is not recommended for adolescents and children under the age of 18. Avoid consuming grapefruit in any form while taking this medicine as it can raise the levels of this medicine in the blood.
If you are planning to have a baby, you should definitely discuss the treatment with your physician, as taking this drug may reduce fertility in both men and women. Use effective birth control during the treatment and can extend up to 8 weeks after taking the Evermil 10mg Tablet. It is recommended to have thorough monitoring of blood count parameters, cholesterol and blood sugar levels prior to the start of the treatment.
Take necessary precautions to avoid contracting infections as this medicine may weaken your immune system and increase the risk of getting infections.
Uses of Evermil 10mg Tablet:
Evermil 10mg Tablet is used to treat:
- Hormone receptor-positive advanced breast cancer in post-menopausal women, where other treatments are not effective. It is given along with exemestane.
- Neuroendocrine tumors (originate from stomach, lung, bowels, or pancreas), where surgery cannot be performed
- Advanced kidney cancer, where other treatments are not effective
- Brain tumor called subependymal giant cell astrocytoma in adults and children aged 3 years and older (where surgery cannot be done)
How Evermil 10mg Tablet works:
Evermil 10mg Tablet is an mTOR (a type of protein in the body) inhibitor. It decreases the blood supply to the tumor and slows down the growth of cancer cells.
Interactions with other drugs:
Inform your doctor about any medications you are taking or have taken before the treatment.

How to use Evermil 10mg Tablet:
Always take the Evermil 10mg Tablet exactly as directed by your physician. Swallow the tablet as a whole with a glass of water and do not crush or chew the tablets. In order to keep constant levels in your body, you should always take this medicine in the same way, either with or without food.
Safety advice:
Pregnancy:
Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to get pregnant before taking Evermil 10mg Tablet. It can harm your unborn baby so it is not recommended to take this medicine if you are pregnant.
Breastfeeding:
Avoid breastfeeding your baby while taking Evermil 10mg Tablet. Tell your doctor if you are breastfeeding before taking this medicine as it needs to be stopped at least 2 weeks after the last dose.
Liver:
Inform your physician if you have any liver disorders before taking Evermil 10mg Tablet as it is advised to modify the dosage according the liver conditions
Kidney:
You need to tell your doctor if you have any kidney disorders before taking Evermil 10mg Tablet since it may affect the functions of your kidneys so your doctor will examine your kidney function before treatment.
Driving:
Evermil 10mg Tablets can make you feel unusually tired. Avoid driving if you are unwell.
Others:
- Limit your exposure to sunlight and UV light. Wear protective clothing and apply sunscreen frequently.
- Tell your doctor if you have any intolerance to lactose or other sugars, have had a recent major surgery or an unhealed wound following surgery.
- Discuss with your doctor if you are planning for pregnancy as Evermil 10mg Tablet can impact both female and male fertility.
Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all medicines cause side effects, not everyone gets them.
Serious:
- Difficulty breathing, or swallowing
- Fever with chills
- Bleeding
- Coughing
- Wheezing
- Swelling of face, lips, tongue, throat
- Severe itching, red rash, raised bumps
Common:
- Excessive thirst
- High urine output or severely decreased urine output
- Tiredness
- Increased appetite with weight loss
- Elevated sugar levels
- Mouth ulcers
- Increased cholesterol levels
- Anemia
- Nose bleeds
- Change of Taste
- Swelling over arms and feet
- Menstrual disorders
- Electrolyte disturbances (decrease in levels of potassium, calcium and phosphates)
- Skin related issues such as dry skin rashes
- Dry Mouth
- Heartburn
- Nail deformities and mild hair fall
