Fosaport 150mg Injection is used in the treatment of the following:

• Acute and delayed nausea and vomiting associated with initial and repeat courses of highly emetogenic cancer chemotherapy (HEC), including high-dose cisplatin.
• Delayed nausea and vomiting associated with initial and repeat courses of moderately emetogenic cancer chemotherapy (MEC).

Fosaport 150mg Injection works by being converted into aprepitant, a selective antagonist of neurokinin 1 (NK1) receptors in the brain. It blocks substance P from binding to these receptors, preventing chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting (CINV). Aprepitant also enhances the effectiveness of other antiemetic drugs, such as ondansetron and dexamethasone, inhibiting both the acute and delayed phases of emesis caused by chemotherapy agents like cisplatin.

Inform your doctor about any prescribed medications, over-the-counter medicines, vitamin or nutritional supplements, and herbal products that you are taking or have taken before the Fosaport 150mg Injection.

• Keep out of reach of children and pets.
• Store the Fosaport injection in the original packaging to protect from moisture.
• Avoid direct sunlight
• Store Fosaport 150mg Injection at a temperature between 2°C to 8°C.

Fosaport 150mg Injection will be administered to you intravenously by a healthcare professional or nurse in a healthcare setting. Do not self-administer this medication. For dosage adjustments or any concerns, please consult your healthcare provider.

Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all medicines cause side effects, not everyone gets them.

Serious side effects of Fosaport 150mg Injection are:

• Skin blistering, peeling
• Rash, itching, difficulty breathing, or swallowing

Common side effects of Fosaport 150mg Injection are:

• Fatigue
• Indigestion, constipation
• Loss of appetite
• Hiccups

The Fosaport 150mg Injection should be administered only by the doctor or nurse, and do not self-administer this injection. Inform the doctor if the patient has any history of allergic reactions, liver or kidney problems, and other medication taken for different medical conditions. Consult the doctor if the patient is planning for pregnancy or breastfeeding mother before taking this medication. Avoid driving and handling heavy machinery as it causes dizziness. Patients may feel a lack of concentration and alertness.
