Use of Graniforce Syrup is to:

• Prevent or treat nausea and vomiting during cancer treatment.

Syrup Graniforce works by blocking the action of serotonin (chemical messenger) in the brain, which is responsible for nausea and vomiting during cancer treatment like chemotherapy and radiation therapy or after surgery.

Graniforce 10 ml syrup, which contains granisetron as its active ingredient, may interact with other medications, potentially affecting its effectiveness or increasing the risk of side effects. Caution should be exercised when taken with other serotonergic drugs such as SSRIs, SNRIs, or MAO inhibitors, as this may increase the risk of serotonin syndrome—a rare but serious condition. Additionally, combining Grandem Syrup with medications that affect heart rhythm, such as certain antiarrhythmics or antipsychotics, may increase the risk of QT prolongation. Always inform your healthcare provider about all the medications, supplements, or herbal products you are taking to avoid harmful interactions.

• Keep Graniforce syrup 10ml out of sight and out of reach of children.
• Do not use it after the expiration date.

Graniforce Syrup should be taken exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually before chemotherapy, radiation therapy, or surgery to prevent nausea and vomiting. Shake the bottle well before each use and measure the dose with the provided measuring cup or spoon for accuracy. It can be taken with or without food, but try to take it at the same time each day. If you vomit within one hour of taking the dose, you may need to take another dose—consult your doctor in such cases. In case of a missed dose, skip it if it’s almost time for the next one and avoid doubling the dose. Stay well-hydrated, eat small and light meals throughout the day, and store the syrup below 30°C, away from children. Always inform your healthcare provider about any other medications or supplements you're using to avoid potential drug interactions.

Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Although all medicines cause side effects, not everyone gets them.

Severe side effects of Graniforce Syrup are:

• Allergic reaction (anaphylaxis)
• Skin rashes
• Abnormal involuntary movements, such as shaking
• Muscle rigidity and contractions
• Changes in the heartbeat and ECG readings

Common side effects of Graniforce Syrup are:

• Headache
• Constipation
• Diarrhea
• Insomnia (difficulty in sleeping)
• Changes in liver function tests

Inform your healthcare provider while taking Graniforce Syrup if you are undergoing any medical tests. It is advised to monitor your heart function with an ECG (electrocardiogram) since this medication may cause irregular heartbeat. It is not given to children to treat sickness after surgery. Eat high-fiber foods in your diet and drink more water to stay hydrated.
