Introduction to Hertrust 440mg Injection
Hertrust 440mg Injection consists of Trastuzumab as an active constituent, which is indicated for its use in HER 2 breast cancer. In HER2-positive patients, the breast cancer cells are mostly composed of HER2 proteins that cause the rapid development of cancer tumors by serving as a signal to the cancerous. This medication is also used to treat metastatic gastric cancer with increased levels of HER2 proteins.
Her 2 positive breast cancers are most aggressive in nature. The targeted therapy for her 2 positive breast cancer works by selectively targeting the proteins that are responsible for the growth, development, and spread of cancer. Use effective birth control during the treatment and for at least 7 months after the final dose.
Hertrust 440mg Injection is not recommended for patients aged under 18, patients who have severe breathing problems or need oxygen treatment. It is necessary to let your physician know if you have any heart problems, breathlessness, or have ever had any other cancer treatment. Make sure you inform your physician of all the medicines, including supplements and herbal medicines, you are taking before you start treatment with this medication.

The Hertrust 440mg Injection is used in the treatment of the following:
- Advanced and metastatic breast cancer
- Metastatic gastric cancer
Therapeutic Effects of Hertrust 440mg Injection
The protein called HER2 (human epidermal growth factor receptor 2) is found in abundant amounts on the surface of certain cancer cells, where it stimulates cancer growth. Hertrust 440mg Injection selectively binds to HER2 and stops the growth of cancer cells.
Interaction of Hertrust 440mg Injection with other drugs
Inform your doctor about any prescribed medications, over-the-counter medicines, nutritional and vitamin supplements, and herbal products you take or have taken before the treatment. Certain medications may interact with Hertrust 440mg Injection and cause undesirable side effects.

- Store between 2˚C and 8˚C.
How to consume Hertrust 440mg Injection
Hertrust 440mg Injection shall either be administered before or after surgery.
It will be given as an Intravenous infusion for 90 minutes, if well tolerated it shall be administered within 30 minutes for the next doses.

Pregnancy
Discuss with your physician before taking this Hertrust 440mg Injection if you are pregnant or think you might be pregnant. Do not take this medicine during pregnancy unless advised by the doctor, as it may cause harm to the unborn baby.
Breast Feeding
Avoid breastfeeding your baby while on the treatment with Hertrust 440mg Injection for at least seven months after the final dose.
Lungs
Talk to your doctor if you have any lung conditions before starting treatment with Hertrust 440mg Injection.
Liver
You need to tell your physician if you have any liver disorders before starting Hertrust 440mg Injection as it requires dosage adjustment for severe liver impairment.
Alcohol
Consult your doctor to know if it is safe to consume alcohol while you are on treatment with Hertrust 440mg Injection.
Driving
Hertrust 440mg Injection can cause unusual tiredness and dizziness. Hence, it is advised to avoid driving or handling machinery during the treatment.

No, it is unsafe to consume Hertrust 440mg Injection while you are pregnant, or this medicine can cause harm to the baby by reducing the amount of amniotic fluid, the fluid surrounding the womb.
