Introduction to Mapsthione 50mg Tablet

Mapsthione 50mg Tablet contains the active constituent glutathione. It is an antioxidant medicine used to treat liver disease. It is sometimes used as a skin-lightening agent, as it can inhibit the production of melanin (the pigment that gives skin its colour) and improve the skin complexion.

Contact your doctor immediately if you experience symptoms of infections or skin allergies, during the Mapsthione 50mg Tablet treatment, your doctor may periodically monitor your thyroid, liver and kidney parameters to prevent serious complications. Report to your doctor if you have had a history of any other medical conditions. 

It is not known if Mapsthione 50mg Tablet interferes with pregnancy or breastfeeding. Hence, it is advisable to tell your healthcare provider if you are pregnant, think you could be pregnant, breastfeeding or planning to have a baby. Avoid alcohol consumption during this treatment as alcohol has the ability to inhibit your body's ability to absorb Mapsthione 50mg Tablet.

Inform your healthcare provider about all the medicines you take, including prescription medications, over-the-counter medications, nutritional or vitamin supplements, and herbal products. Certain medications may interact with Mapsthione 50mg Tablet and reduce effectiveness by causing undesirable side effects.

  • Store Mapsthione 50mg Tablet in the original package at room temperature (30°C).
  • Do not refrigerate.

How to consume Mapsthione 50mg Tablet

The Mapsthione 50mg Tablet is available in the form of film-coated tablets (250mg, 500mg), capsules (50mg) and injections (600mg). The recommended dose of oral glutathione is 1 or 2 tablets/capsules per day or as recommended by healthcare professionals. The recommended dose for glutathione injection is 300 to 600 mg daily through the intravenous or intramuscular route. For best results, it is advisable to inject twice weekly in either arm.
