Metrixafor 24mg Injection is an antineoplastic containing the active ingredient Plerixafor. It is used in collecting blood stem cells, storage, and transplantation. Before starting the treatment, notify your doctor if you have high WBC counts, low platelet counts, or a history of usual lightheadedness or fainting, especially before injection. It is not advised to take this medicine for stem cell mobilisation if you have leukaemia.
Do not take this tablet if you are allergic to Plerixafor or any other medicine ingredients. Notify your doctor if you have kidney disorders; your doctor may adjust the dose of the medicine if you have existing kidney disease. Your doctor may also perform a regular blood test to monitor the blood cell count. Do not take this tablet if you are pregnant or planning to get pregnant, think you might be pregnant, or if you are breastfeeding. It is recommended to use effective contraception. Report to your doctor if you experience any side effects like rashes or swelling around your eyes, a change in breathing (lack of oxygen), or pain in the abdomen (upper left) or left shoulder.
