Introduction
N Zal 80mg Capsule contains Enzalutamide, a targeted therapy classified as an androgen receptor inhibitor. It is commonly prescribed for adults with advanced prostate cancer, especially when the disease no longer responds to surgical or hormonal interventions. This oral anticancer medication works by blocking the effects of male hormones (androgens) that fuel the growth of prostate cancer cells.
Patients on N Zal 80mg Capsule 40mg may need regular monitoring through PSA (Prostate-Specific Antigen) blood tests to assess disease progression and treatment response. Liver function tests and complete blood counts are also recommended periodically to track safety during long-term use.
This medication may lower the threshold for seizures and should be used with caution in individuals with a history of neurological conditions. Avoid grapefruit or grapefruit juice, as it may raise drug levels in the blood. Because of its potential to cause infertility and fetal harm, effective contraception is essential for both men and women during and for at least three months after stopping the treatment.
Uses
Used in the treatment of advanced prostate cancer that has not responded to other therapies.
How N Zal 80mg Capsule Works
N Zal 80mg Capsule works by blocking the androgen receptors on prostate cancer cells. These receptors normally allow the hormone dihydrotestosterone (DHT) to stimulate cancer growth. By preventing DHT from binding, the drug disrupts cancer cell signalling, slows disease progression, and reduces tumour proliferation.
Interaction with Other Medications
Tell your doctor about any prescription drugs, herbal supplements, or over-the-counter medications you take regularly. N Zal 80mg Capsule may interact with anticoagulants, anticonvulsants, or drugs affecting liver enzymes. Some interactions may reduce treatment effectiveness or increase the risk of side effects.
Storage conditions
-
Store in a cool, dry place between 20°C to 25°C.
-
Keep away from children and pets.
-
Do not remove capsules from the original packaging until use.
