Introduction to Pazolong 400mg Tablet

Pazolong 400mg tablet contains the active substance pazopanib. It is an antineoplastic drug that belongs to the class tyrosine kinase inhibitor. It is used in adults to treat advanced kidney cancer or has spread to other organs. It is also indicated to treat certain forms of soft-tissue sarcoma, a type of cancer affecting the supportive tissues of the body. This medicine works by preventing the activity of proteins involved in the growth and spread of cancer cells. 

Do not take Pazolong 400mg tablet if you are allergic to Pazopanib or any other ingredients of this medicine. Before initiating the treatment, inform your physician if you have kidney, heart, lung, or liver problems, bleeding disorders, stomach or bowel problems, and thyroid problems. This tablet can raise your blood pressure. It is necessary to check your blood pressure regularly during the treatment. No dose adjustments are required for patients with kidney diseases. 

Your doctor will advise you to stop Pazolong 400mg tablet at least 7 days before any surgeries or dental operations that you are undergoing, as it may affect wound healing. This medicine is not recommended for people aged under 18. This medicine can cause infertility; consult your doctor before taking this medicine. The most common side effects are diarrhea, hypertension, hair color changes, nausea, and vomiting.

Therapeutic Effects of Pazolong 400mg Tablet

Pazolong 400mg tablet is a biological agent that acts as targeted drug therapy in cancer treatment. It is an anticancer medication that belongs to the category of tyrosine kinase inhibitors. It interferes with the growth of blood vessels inside the cancer cells by acting against a protein called Vascular Endothelial Growth Factors (VEGF) to shrink cancer cells, ultimately stopping their growth and multiplication.

Inform your healthcare provider about all the medicines you take, including prescription medications, over-the-counter medications, nutritional and vitamin supplements, and herbal products. Certain medications may interact with the effects of Pazolong 400mg  tablet and reduce its effectiveness by causing undesirable side effects.

  • Store Pazolong 400mg tablet in room temperature (25°C)
  • Keep the injection away from the reach of children and pets.
  • If you forgot to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, skip the missed dose if it is nearly time for the next dose.
  • Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.

How to consume Pazolong 400mg Tablet

Your doctor will decide the dose and duration of the treatment based on your disease condition, severity, and other factors. Take the tablets as prescribed by your doctor. Do not break, crush, or chew the tablets. Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not take this medicine with food, as it affects the absorption of this medicine. Take Pazolong 400mg tablet at least two hours after a meal or one hour before a meal.

Pazolong 400mg tablet is unsafe to administer in pregnant women because it may affect the fetus. Inform your physician if you are pregnant, suspect pregnancy, or planning to become pregnant. Using an effective birth control method during the treatment and for at least 2 weeks after your last dose is necessary.

Breast Feeding

  

Breastfeeding is not recommended in patients taking Pazolong 400mg  tablet because the medicine passes into the breast milk in small amounts and may harm your baby.

Lungs

  

It is unknown whether Pazolong 400mg tablet can be used in patients with lung disorders. Consult your doctor if you have any lung diseases before starting the treatment.

Male patients with female partners with reproductive potential should use effective contraception during the treatment and at least 2 weeks after the last dose to prevent pregnancy. Take the tablet at about the same time each day. Your doctor will regularly do lab tests to check whether the medicine works for you.
