PSORID 50MG CAPSULE
CYCLOSPORINEManufacturer : BIOCON LTDOrigin of Medicine : India
Psorid 50mg Capsule is used to reduce the body’s immune reactions. It is a preferred choice of drug for patients who have recently undergone organ transplantation (liver, kidney or heart). It is used with other medicines to prevent the rejection of the new organ by the body's immune system. After solid organ transplantation, the body generates an aggressive immune response because it recognizes the transplanted organ's antigens as a foreign antigen. Thus, treatment with immunosuppressive agents is necessary after an organ transplant to prevent organ rejection.
Immunosuppressants increase the risk of skin cancer. Limit your exposure to the sun, wear protective clothing and use a sunscreen with high SPF. Inform your physician if you have recently taken vaccination with live vaccines.
Uses of Psorid 50mg Capsule:
- Prevention of organ rejection in Kidney, liver, and heart transplant patients.
- Treatment of Rheumatoid arthritis and Psoriasis
How Psorid 50mg Capsule Works:
Psorid 50mg Capsule is a potent immunomodulatory agent that acts by inhibiting cytokine production. It is a calcineurin inhibitor. The main action is to lower T-cell activity and block them from attacking the transplanted organ. In autoimmune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis, where the body’s immune system attacks its own cells, this medicine stops the immune reaction.
Interaction with other drugs:
