Introduction
Rituxirel RN 500mg Injection contains rituximab, a type of medicine known as an anti-CD20 monoclonal antibody. It is used in adults to treat various types of blood cancers like non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma (NHL) and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). It also helps manage autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis (RA), when used with methotrexate, as well as granulomatosis with polyangiitis and microscopic polyangiitis (inflammatory conditions affecting blood vessels). Additionally, it is prescribed for pemphigus vulgaris, a rare condition that causes painful skin blisters and sores in the mouth, throat, and other areas.
This injection works by targeting specific white blood cells called B-lymphocytes, which may grow abnormally in cancer or behave incorrectly in autoimmune conditions. Rituxirel RN 500mg is given under the supervision of a qualified healthcare professional. It’s not recommended if you are allergic to rituximab, have severe infections, or have a weakened immune system.
Before starting treatment, tell your doctor if you have heart or lung problems, or a history of hepatitis B infection, as the virus can reactivate during treatment. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should avoid this injection. Effective contraception is advised during treatment and for at least 12 months after the last dose.
Common side effects may include low red blood cells, infections, itchy skin, swelling, diarrhea, or changes in blood pressure. Serious side effects like infusion-related reactions, chest pain, or difficulty breathing should be reported to your doctor immediately.

How Rituxirel RN 500mg Injection Works
Rituxirel RN 500mg Injection targets CD20 proteins found on B-cells, a type of white blood cell. In cancer, it helps kill these abnormal cells. In autoimmune diseases, it reduces inflammation by lowering the number of B-cells that wrongly attack the body’s own tissues. This helps improve symptoms and slow disease progression.

Inform your doctor about all the medicines you take, including prescription drugs, OTC medicines, supplements, and herbal products.
Caution is advised if you are taking:

How to Use Rituxirel RN 500mg Injection
This injection is not for self-use. It will be given through a slow intravenous (IV) infusion by a trained doctor or nurse. Before the infusion, you may receive pre-medications to reduce the chance of side effects like fever or allergic reactions. The dosage and number of cycles will depend on your condition, response to treatment, and overall health.
You will be monitored closely during and after each infusion for any signs of reaction.

Breast Feeding
Breastfeeding is not recommended in patients taking Rituxirel RN 500mg injection because the medicine passes into the breast milk in small amounts and may harm your baby.
Alcohol
Consuming alcohol may affect the effectiveness of Rituxirel RN 500mg injection. Stop consuming alcohol if you are taking this medicine.
Liver
Whether Rituxirel RN 500mg injection can be used in patients with liver impairment is unknown. Consult your doctor if you have or ever had liver disease or hepatitis B infection before starting the treatment. The reactivation of hepatitis viral infection can cause severe liver problems.
Lungs
It is unknown whether Rituxirel RN 500mg injection can be used in patients with lung disorders. Consult your doctor if you have any lung diseases before starting the treatment.
Driving
Caution is required while driving and operating machinery when you take Rituxirel RN 500mg injection because it may cause dizziness, sleepiness, tiredness, and risk of falling.
Pregnancy
Rituxirel RN 500mg injection is unsafe to administer in pregnant women because it may affect the fetus. Inform your physician if you are pregnant, suspect pregnancy, or planning to become pregnant. Using an effective birth control method during the treatment and for 12 months after your last dose is necessary.
