Rocunium 50mg injection acts by blocking the signals between your nerves and muscles, competing with acetylcholine in your body. Acetylcholine normally connects with certain nicotinic cholinergic receptors to make muscles contract. But when this drug is around, it takes the place of acetylcholine, preventing muscle contractions. This happens because it stops the release of calcium ions, which are needed for muscle contraction. Thus, keeping your muscles relaxed.

Inform your doctor about any prescribed medications, over-the-counter medicines, nutritional or vitamin supplements, and herbal products you take or have taken before the treatment. Certain medications may interact with rocunium 50mg injection and can cause undesirable side effects.

• Store rocunium 50mg injection in a refrigerator at 2 °C - 8°C
• Keep children away from the sight and reach of this medication.

This medicine is given only in a hospital setup by a healthcare provider. Rocunium 50mg injection will be given to you by your doctor. It is given intravenously (into a vein). Your physician will decide the dosage and frequency of this injection based on the severity of your disease and other factors.

Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all medicines cause side effects, not everyone gets them.

Serious

• Severe allergic coronary blood vessel spasm (Kounis syndrome) resulting in chest pain (angina) or heart attack (myocardial infarction)

Common

• Breathing difficulties or unable breath
• Enlargement pupils.

Talk to your doctor if you have a disease affecting the nerves and muscles, such as polio (poliomyelitis), myasthenia gravis, or eaton-lambert syndrome and dehydration. Inform your doctor about your prescribed and non-prescribed medicine and take a proper diet while under medication. Rocunium 50mg injection  may increase the heart rate of the children. So, it should be given by the doctor with proper monitoring of the heartbeat.
