Introduction to Tromlieva 25mg Tablet 7'S
Tromlieva 25mg Tablet 7'S is an anticoagulant drug belonging to the thrombopoietin (TPO) receptor agonist category, containing the active ingredient Eltrombopag. It is used to treat low platelet counts caused by primary immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) or hepatitis C (HCV) infection. ITP is an autoimmune disorder where the immune system destroys platelets, which are blood cells essential for clotting and protecting blood vessel walls. Low platelet levels can lead to severe bleeding and bruising. This tablet is also indicated for treating adults with severe aplastic anemia, a serious condition where the bone marrow fails to produce sufficient new blood cells.
This drug should not be used in individuals with known hypersensitivity or allergic reactions to the medication or its components. Allergic reactions can range from mild to severe and include symptoms like rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, or difficulty breathing. Tromlieva 25mg Tablet 7'S is contraindicated in patients with severe liver impairment or active liver disease, as it may cause hepatotoxicity (liver damage), indicated by increased liver enzymes and bilirubin levels. Patients should be monitored closely to avoid further liver function deterioration. Your doctor may also check for cataracts or bleeding in or around the retina (the light-sensitive layer at the back of the eye).

Tromlieva 25mg Tablet 7'S is used to treat:
- Low platelet counts caused by primary immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) or hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection.
- Severe aplastic anemia.
Therapeutic Effects of Tromlieva 25mg Tablet 7'S
Tromlieva 25mg Tablet 7'S stimulates megakaryocytes (large bone marrow cells responsible for producing platelets). By increasing the platelet count, this drug helps prevent bleeding and bruising.
Interaction of Tromlieva 25mg Tablet 7'S with other drugs
Inform your healthcare provider about all medications you are taking, including prescription, over-the-counter, nutritional or vitamin supplements, and herbal products. Certain medicines, such as antacids, statins, ciclosporin, methotrexate, topotecan, lopinavir, ritonavir, and vitamin or mineral supplements, may interact with Tromlieva 25mg Tablet 7'S, reducing its effectiveness or causing side effects.

If you stop taking this tablet, your platelet count may drop again within a few days. Regular monitoring of platelet levels is essential, and your doctor will advise on necessary precautions. This is an orally available prescription drug. Your doctor will determine the dose and duration of the drug based on your condition. Always take Tromlieva 25mg Tablet 7'S as prescribed. It can be taken with or without food, but do not chew, crush, or break the tablet. Swallow it whole with water.

Your platelet count will be monitored for four weeks after stopping treatment.
