Introduction to Tropan XL 5mg Tablet
Tropan XL 5mg contains the active substance Oxybutyninwhich belongs to the class of antispasmodics. In adults and children, it is used to treat urinary incontinence (loss of control in passing urine) and frequent and sudden urges to urinate that may not be easy to control. In children five years or older, it is also used in treating nighttime bedwetting when other treatments have not worked. This medicine is not recommended for children under the age of 5 years.
Do not consume Tropan XL 5mg if you are allergic to Oxybutynin or any of the other substances of the medicine, if you have any stomach or intestine disorder, inflammatory bowel disease, urinary problems like blockage, myasthenia gravis (muscle weakness disorder), vision problems like blurred vision or glaucoma (loss of vision). Notify your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to get pregnant or breastfeeding because this medicine is unsafe to use in such conditions. Report to your doctor if you are intolerant to some sugar, as this medicine contains lactose.
Before starting the treatment with Tropan XL 5mg, inform your doctor if you have any liver, heart (failure, irregular heartbeat) or kidney-related conditions, difficulties in the stomach or intestines, heartburn, or indigestion caused by hiatus hernia ( part of the stomach squeezes through the diaphragm). Notify your doctor if you take any other medicine, especially for osteoporosis (bisphosphonates), and if you have hyperthyroidism, high blood pressure, and nerve damage (autonomic neuropathy). This medicine is contraindicated for Parkinson’s condition.

Therapeutic Effects of Tropan XL 5mg Tablet
Tropan XL 5mg tablet works by inhibiting the receptors in the urinary bladder and salivary glands. It relaxes the bladder and inhibits sudden muscle contractions, thus controlling the release of urine.
Interaction of Tropan XL 5mg Tablet with other drugs
Inform your healthcare professional about all the medicines you take, including prescription medications, over-the-counter medications, recent vaccinations, vitamin supplements, nutritional and herbal products. Certain medications such as Atropine, Amantadine, Levodopa, Cholinesterase inhibitors, Anti-psychotics, and other medications may interact with Tropan XL 5mg and reduce its effectiveness by causing undesirable side effects.

How to consume Tropan XL 5mg Tablet
Take an Tropan XL 5mg tablet with a glass of water. Swallow the tablet, do not crush, chew, or dissolve it. Your doctor will choose the dosage and administration frequency based on the physical condition because it differs for each person.
