Introduction to Urimax 0.4mg Capsule 30's
Urimax Tablet contains the active substance Tamsulosin. It is an alpha-adrenergic antagonist used in men to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (enlarged prostate), which includes difficulty in urinating, painful urination, and urinary frequency and urgency. It is also used to reduce the tension in the muscles of the prostate and urethra. It belongs to the class of medications called alpha-blockers. It works by relaxing the muscles in the prostate and bladder so that urine can flow easily.
Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to Urimax Tablet or any of the other ingredients of this medicine, or if angioedema (swelling due to allergic reaction) occurs after using of some drugs. Inform your physician if you have a serious infection of the liver, or if you suffer from dizziness, or if you have already had malaise while you urinate or after urinating (micturition syncope).
If you are planning to undergo cataract or glaucoma surgery, please inform your doctor that you are taking or have recently taken Urimax Tablet. Caution should be paid if you have severely impaired renal function, as there is insufficient data from clinical studies about patients with severe renal impairment. In case of dizziness, it is necessary to sit down or lie down until the disappearance of these signs. Report to your physician if there is a drop in blood pressure on long-term use.

Therapeutic Effects of Urimax 0.4mg Capsule 30's
Tamsulosin, an alpha-1A adrenoceptor antagonist, selectively blocks sympathetic nervous stimulation of the receptor resulting in relaxation of the smooth muscles of the prostate, prostatic urethra, and bladder neck for improvement in urine flow rate and a reduction in symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia. It binds selectively and competitively to the postsynaptic alpha-1 adrenoceptor, particularly to subtypes alpha1A and alpha1D. It brings about the relaxation of prostatic and urethral smooth muscle

Inform your healthcare provider about all the medicines you are taking, including prescription medications, over-the-counter medications, vaccinations, nutritional and vitamin supplements, and herbal products. Certain medications may interact with the effects of Urimax Tablet and reduce its effectiveness by causing undesirable side effects.

How to consume Urimax 0.4mg Capsule 30's
Your doctor will decide the dose and duration of the treatment based on your disease condition, severity, and other factors. Always take this Tablet as prescribed by your doctor. Do not open, break, crush, or chew the Tablets. Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water. Take Urimax Tablet after breakfast or after the first daily meal. Do not stop taking this medicine without medical advice from your doctor.

Breast Feeding
If your partner is breastfeeding, use a reliable form of barrier contraception while using this medication. Inform your physician if you have a breastfeeding female partner.
Alcohol
It is unsafe to consume alcohol when taking Urimax Tablet because it may cause excessive drowsiness, or liver problems.
Liver
Urimax Tablet should be cautiously administered in patients with severe liver diseases. Dose adjustments are necessary for severe liver failure. Inform your physician if you have liver problems before initiating the therapy.
Lungs
It is unknown whether Urimax Tablet can be used in patients with lung disorders. Consult your doctor if you have any lung diseases before starting the treatment.
Driving
It is unsafe to drive vehicles or operate machinery while taking Urimax Tablet because it may cause drowsiness.
Pregnancy
Urimax Tablet is indicated only for males. If you have a pregnant female partner, suspect pregnancy, or planning for pregnancy, inform your doctor and seek medical advice.
