Ustekirel 45mg injection uses to :

• Crohn’s disease

Ustekirel 45mg Injection is a monoclonal antibody that binds specifically to certain signalling proteins (interleukin-12 and interleukin-23) in the body, which is involved in inflammatory and immune responses. It works by targeting, neutralising, and stopping the action of certain cells in the body that cause the symptoms of certain diseases.

1. Live Vaccines (Life threatening)
   Ustekinumab weakens immune defenses, and live vaccines like MMR or varicella can multiply uncontrollably in the body. This combination must be strictly avoided.

2. Other Biologic Immunosuppressants (Severe)
   Medicines such as adalimumab, infliximab, or secukinumab can excessively suppress immunity when combined with ustekinumab. This greatly increases infection risk, so dual biologic therapy is not recommended.

3. Cyclosporine or Tacrolimus (Severe)
   Using strong immunosuppressants with ustekinumab may lead to severe infections or reduced immune response. Careful medical supervision and infection monitoring are required.

4. Systemic Corticosteroids (Moderate)
   Drugs like prednisolone or methylprednisolone may enhance immunosuppression and raise the chance of bacterial or fungal infections. Physicians may reduce steroid dose if combined.

5. Warfarin (Moderate)
   Immune-modifying therapies can alter inflammation levels, which may affect warfarin activity. INR monitoring is advised when starting or stopping ustekinumab.

It will be given to you by a doctor or nurse in a hospital or clinic setting. It is given as an intravenous infusion (into your vein). Do not self-administer the injection. Your doctor will decide the Ustekirel 45mg injection dosage and duration of the treatment based on your disease severity, body weight, and other factors.

Ustekirel 45mg injection side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all drugs cause side effects, not everyone gets them.

• People with advanced HIV (AIDS) may experience new or worsening signs of infection after beginning therapy.

• Report any side effects to your doctor and share details of all other medicines you are taking, especially those that may harm the kidneys.

• Take Xapavir LT tablet only in the dose prescribed by your doctor.

• This medicine does not prevent HIV transmission; continue safe sex practices and use effective contraception.
