Introduction to Venclexta 10mg Tablet
Venclexta 10mg Tablet contains the active ingredient Venetoclax. Venclexta 10mg Tablet is an antineoplastic drug that belongs to the class of BCL-2 inhibitors. It is used to treat adults with certain types of blood cancers, including chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL) and acute myeloid leukaemia (AML).
Specifically, it is used in CLL with a 17p deletion and in AML in patients who cannot undergo intensive chemotherapy. Additionally, it can be used in combination with other medications to treat certain types of non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
Venclexta 10mg Tablet works by inhibiting the BCL-2 protein, which helps promote cancer cell death. This action restores the process of apoptosis (programmed cell death) by binding to BCL-2, displacing pro-apoptotic proteins, and initiating mitochondrial outer membrane permeabilisation, which triggers cell death.
Do not take Venclexta 10mg Tablet if you are allergic to Venetoclax or any of the other ingredients in the medication. Before starting treatment, inform your doctor if you have kidney problems, a history of infections, or any blood-related disorders like low white blood cell count or low platelet count.
Ensure that your physician is aware of any past history of Tumor Lysis Syndrome (TLS) or if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, as Venclexta may harm the fetus. Venclexta 10mg Tablet should not be used in children or adolescents under the age of 18.
Uses of Venclexta 10mg Tablet

Therapeutic Effects of Venclexta 10mg Tablet
Venclexta 10mg Tablet works as a selective, orally bioavailable small-molecule inhibitor of BCL-2, an antiapoptotic protein. In CLL and AML cells, BCL-2 overexpression supports tumour cell survival and chemotherapy resistance by binding directly to BCL-2, Venclexta 10mg Tablet displaces pro-apoptotic proteins like BIM, triggering mitochondrial outer membrane permeabilisation and activating caspases. Nonclinical studies demonstrate venetoclax’s cytotoxic effect on tumor cells overexpressing BCL-2.
