Yurpeak 5mg Kwikpen works by mimicking the actions of two key incretin hormones: GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1) and GIP (glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide). These hormones play a vital role in regulating blood sugar by:

• Stimulating the pancreas to release insulin after food intake.

• Suppressing the release of glucagon from the liver, reducing glucose production.

• Slowing gastric emptying, which prolongs the feeling of fullness and helps reduce calorie intake.

This dual mechanism not only improves blood sugar levels but also contributes to significant weight reduction over time.

1. Insulin (Severe)
   Using tirzepatide with insulin can cause a sharp drop in blood sugar. Dose adjustment and frequent glucose monitoring are essential to avoid hypoglycemia.

2. Sulfonylureas (Severe)
   Medicines like glimepiride or glipizide may amplify tirzepatide’s glucose-lowering effect. This increases the chance of severe hypoglycemia. Doctors usually lower the sulfonylurea dose when used together.

3. Other GLP1 Receptor Agonists (Severe)
   Combining drugs such as liraglutide, semaglutide, or dulaglutide with tirzepatide can excessively lower blood sugar and increase gastrointestinal side effects. Concurrent use is generally avoided.

4. Delayed Gastric Emptying Medicines (Moderate)
   Drugs that slow stomach movement, including opioids or anticholinergics, may intensify tirzepatide’s effect on gastric emptying. This can alter how other oral medicines are absorbed.

5. Oral Contraceptives (Moderate)
   Tirzepatide may reduce the absorption of some oral contraceptive pills. Using an alternative method of contraception during initial treatment or dose escalation is recommended.

6. Warfarin (Moderate)
   Delayed gastric emptying caused by tirzepatide can influence the absorption of warfarin in some patients. Closer INR monitoring is advisable when therapy starts or doses change.

7. SGLT2 Inhibitors (Moderate)
   Medicines like dapagliflozin or empagliflozin may increase the risk of dehydration or low blood sugar when used with tirzepatide. Adequate hydration and glucose checks are advised.

Always inform your healthcare provider about any other medications or supplements before starting Yurpeak 5mg Kwikpen to prevent harmful interactions.

• Store in the refrigerator (2°C–8°C). 

• Do not freeze.

• Administer the missed dose as soon as possible within 4 days. Skip the dose if more than 4 days have passed.

• Seek immediate medical attention if an overdose occurs.

Yurpeak 5mg Kwikpen is available as a subcutaneous injection administered once a week. The starting Yurpeak 5mg Kwikpen dosage should be once weekly, regardless of meal timing. Each KwikPen contains four fixed weekly doses of the selected strength. Inject on the same day each week to maintain consistent dosing. Do not attempt to split doses manually. Based on the patient’s response and tolerance, the dose may be increased to 5 mg after 4 weeks, and further titrated up to a maximum of 15 mg per week if needed. The injection should be administered into the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm, and rotating injection sites is recommended to prevent irritation. If a dose is missed, it should be taken as soon as possible within 4 days; otherwise, the next dose should be taken on the regularly scheduled day. Patients should follow their doctor’s advice on dose adjustments, especially if they experience adverse effects or fluctuations in blood sugar levels.

Serious Side Effects:

• Pancreatitis (severe abdominal pain)

• Thyroid tumors

• Yurpeak 5 mg KwikPen should be used under strict medical supervision with regular monitoring of blood sugar levels.

• Maintain a healthy lifestyle by following a balanced diet and engaging in regular physical activity while using this medication.
