ActiveD Tablet contains the active ingredient Calcitriol. It is used to treat various conditions related to calcium and bone metabolism. It is important to regulate calcium and phosphorus levels, promote bone health, and support overall bodily functions. It is used in conditions like hypocalcemia (low blood calcium), hypoparathyroidism (low parathyroid hormone), chronic kidney disease, osteoporosis (weakened bones), rickets, osteomalacia (softening of bones), psoriasis, and secondary hyperparathyroidism (imbalanced calcium metabolism). It can also help in managing parathyroid hormone levels and related complications. It might also help in immune function, cancer prevention, heart health, diabetes management, mood regulation, muscle strength, and autoimmune conditions. 

Suppose someone has a known hypersensitivity or allergic reaction to the ActiveD tablet or any medication containing calcitriol. In that case, it is important to avoid using the medication and inform their healthcare provider immediately. This medication should be avoided in individuals with hypercalcemia (high blood calcium levels), vitamin D toxicity, malabsorption syndromes, and high levels of vitamin D metabolites. In children, it is used for conditions like rickets or growth-related issues. For older adults, it could be used to support bone health and prevent fractures.
