Uses of Imax XT Tablet are:

Imax XT Tablet combines two essential nutrients that work together to effectively treat and prevent anaemia caused by iron and folate deficiencies. Ferrous Ascorbate provides a bioavailable form of iron, which is crucial for haemoglobin production and oxygen transport in the blood. The presence of Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) further enhances iron absorption, ensuring optimal levels of this vital mineral.

Folic Acid supports DNA synthesis and the production of red blood cells, helping stimulate healthy cell growth and maturation. This combination improves blood health by treating both iron deficiency anaemia and folate deficiency anaemia. It also prevents megaloblastic anaemia and plays a critical role during pregnancy by reducing the risk of neural tube defects, ensuring better health outcomes for both mother and baby.

Certain substances and medications can reduce the absorption of iron from Imax XT Tablet. Magnesium trisilicate and antacids containing carbonates inhibit iron absorption. Iron also interferes with the absorption of oral tetracycline antibiotics, so avoid taking them within two hours of each other. Always consult your healthcare provider before using Imax XT Tablet with other medications or supplements, and make sure to inform them about all the medicines and supplements you are taking to prevent potential interactions.

• Store Imax XT Tablet in the original packaging to protect from moisture.
• Close the container tightly after use to maintain product integrity.
• Avoid direct sunlight and store in a cool, dry place.

Take the Imax XT Tablet as advised by your physician. Do not crush, chew, or open the medicine. Your physician will decide the correct dosage and duration based on age, body weight, and disease condition. Only stop taking the tablet if your doctor advises you to stop. Usually, one tablet will be prescribed for the 1st 14 days.
 

Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all medicines cause side effects, not everyone gets them.

Common Side Effects of Imax XT Tablet

• Stomach upset, including nausea, indigestion, or abdominal discomfort
• Constipation or diarrhoea
• Black stools (a normal side effect due to iron)
• Metallic taste in the mouth
• Mild gastrointestinal symptoms, such as bloating or flatulence

Rare Side Effects of Imax XT Tablet

• Allergic reactions, including rash, itching, or swelling
• Abdominal cramps or discomfort
• Large doses may cause irritability or insomnia

Excessive iron intake can be harmful, especially to children, and may lead to iron toxicity—keep it out of reach. If you experience allergic reactions like rash or swelling, stop using the product immediately. Iron may cause gastrointestinal issues, such as stomach upset, constipation, or diarrhoea, and it can turn stools black (a harmless side effect).  

If these symptoms persist or worsen, consult your healthcare provider. Use Imax XT Tablet cautiously if you have gastrointestinal disorders, iron overload conditions (like haemochromatosis), or a history of vitamin B12 deficiency. 

Always follow the prescribed dosage to prevent toxicity, and inform your healthcare provider about any other medications or supplements, particularly those that affect iron absorption.
