Introduction to Abisam 500mg Tablet
Abisam 500mg Tablet contains the active constituent abiraterone acetate. It is used in adult men to treat prostate cancer, which has spread to other parts of the body. It stops the body from testosterone production, which slows down the growth of prostate cancer. Abisam 500mg Tablet is prescribed to the early stage of the disease, responding to hormone therapy.
The patient should talk to the Physician if he/she has liver problems, high blood pressure or heart failure, or low blood potassium as it may increase the risk of heart-related problems. This medicine is not recommended for use in children and adolescents. The severe side effects of Abisam 500mg Tablet include muscle weakness, muscle twitching, palpitation. These are the signs of low potassium in your blood. A decrease in red blood cells, reduced sex drive may also occur with the intake of Abisam 500mg Tablet. This medicine should not be taken with Ra-223, which is used to treat prostate cancer.

Pregnancy
Abisam 500mg Tablet is not indicated to be used during pregnancy. Women who are pregnant or who may become pregnant should not touch this medication without gloves.
Breast Feeding
The Abisam 500mg Tablet is not indicated to be used in breastfeeding women. Inform your doctor if you are breastfeeding before starting treatment with this medication.
Lungs

Liver

Inform the doctor if the patient has any liver problems, blood pressure, heart disorders, diabetes and medication taken for different medical conditions before taking an Abisam 500mg Tablet . The medicine should be taken as prescribed by the doctor. This medication should be taken orally in an empty stomach. It should not be taken with food and swallow the tablet as a whole with water without breaking them. Food must be eaten at least 2 hours before taking the medication and the patient is advised to eat after 1hr after consuming the medication. Blood pressure, potassium levels, liver function tests should be monitored regularly while taking this medication.
