Amphimak 50mg Injection uses for: 

• Suspected fungal infections

• Visceral leishmaniasis.

Liposomal Amphotericin B binds primarily to ergosterol in sensitive fungi cell membranes, causing membrane permeability changes that result in leakage of intracellular contents and cell death. 

1. Nephrotoxic Drugs (Severe).
   Using Amphimak 50mg Injection with medicines like aminoglycosides (amikacin, gentamicin), vancomycin, or cyclosporine can greatly increase the risk of kidney damage. Kidney function should be closely monitored.

2. Loop Diuretics (Severe)
   Drugs such as furosemide can amplify Amphimak 50mg Injection's nephrotoxic and electrolyte-altering effects. Use together only under strict medical supervision.

3. Corticosteroids (Moderate)
   Steroids may worsen electrolyte disturbances (especially potassium and magnesium) caused by Amphimak 50mg Injection. Medical supervision is recommended if both are used.

4. Digoxin (Moderate)
   Low potassium levels caused by Amphimak 50mg Injection can increase the risk of digoxin toxicity. Electrolytes and digoxin levels should be monitored.

5. Flucytosine (Moderate)
   Using Amphosurge with flucytosine may increase antifungal effectiveness but also raises the risk of toxicity. Dose adjustments may be required.

6. Other Nephrotoxic or Electrolyte-Affecting Drugs (Moderate)
   Concurrent use with drugs that affect kidney function or electrolytes should be monitored carefully to prevent complications

Common: 

• Skin rash

• Increased blood sugar levels

• Decreased potassium levels

• Diarrhea

• Nausea, vomiting

• Anemia

• Insomnia

• Shortness of breath

Serious:

• Cardia arrest

• GI bleeding

• Severe skin reactions

• Acute kidney injury

• This medicine may affect kidney function. Inform your doctor if you have any existing kidney problems before starting treatment.
  

• Watch for signs of severe infusion reactions such as flushing, itching, nausea, swelling of the face or mouth, difficulty breathing, or tightness in the chest. Seek medical help immediately if you experience any of these symptoms.
  

• For some infections, the medication may need to be taken for several weeks or months.
  

• Do not stop the treatment early, even if you start to feel better, as this may cause the infection to return.
  

• If your symptoms persist or worsen, inform your doctor promptly for further evaluation.
